MARYLOU Q'S DRAGON DILEMMA by Jan Milusich

News spreads fast in a town as small as Earleville, and Marylou Q with her ten-foot invisible guardian dragon, Josephine, is the town's most talked about curiosity, especially among the girls at Earleville Academy.

But fitting in is the least of Marylou's worries. When Josephine has to leave because of a prophecy foretold at Marylou's, and her twin sister, Tessa's birth, Marylou wants to go too. But Josephine won't let her, and she won't tell her anything more about the prophecy. Marylou's angry and takes it out on Josephine. At home she decides to ask Momma, but Momma won't give Marylou any answers either... at least not until the eve of the new moon. Why then? Marylou's determined to find out.

Her curiosity is on high alert. Marylou's ability to hear peoples' thoughts and her new found ability to see into the past and the future give her clues, but no answers. Her investigative explorations lead to a hidden statue of a demi-god that is the sworn enemy of dragons. Why would her Momma have such a statue and what does it have to do with the prophecy? And why does Mr. Rukh, a peculiar new neighbor, show so much interest in it? Many surprises await Marylou as she searches for answers, least of which is the help she receives from her arch enemy, Piper Johnson, a girl who's joy in life is teasing Marylou. Journey with Marylou, Tessa and Piper as dragons multiply, danger mounts and Marylou's dilemma grows. Adventure and mythical creatures await your every turn of the page as Marylou fulfills the prophecy and seeks her destiny.

  1. Welcome and super congrats on your new releases Jan and Terri!

I love romantic suspense and Terri, your book CARBON COPY sounds like it has a great plot!

And Jan your book sounds like a great adventure. Is this part of a series? Marylou seems like a great character.

Please both of you, tell us all about your new books and how we can learn more about you.

Hope both your books are bestsellers for you! Enjoy your launch party!

  2. Congrats on your new release Jan!

@ author island, thanks for stopping by! I hope you enjoy Carbon Copy.

It's been a long time dream to write my book on cloning. It took 5 years to write, and I thought about it for 8 years before that. Hope I can set a great example to others: hard work, dedication, and never giving up on my dreams!

  5. Thanks Marci! I can't wait to buy my mom's book. We're both more excited for the other. How thrilling for mother/daughter writers to publish the same year from the same awesome publisher!

    1. Thank you! People kept telling me I looked like someone they knew. I kept saying, "I must've been cloned." and Carbon Copy was born!

    1. Yes! We read each other's books as we each write a chapter. Helps us both to have an eager audience. And we try to exchange chapters every time we get together. In fact, our characters are related. My heroine, Lilly, is the niece of my mother's heroine, Clarice. We keep discussing writing a book together set before both of our stories. A Prequel. Thanks for stopping by!

    2. Oh, that is SO cool! How neat to have those interconnections between your stories! It just a quick step over into co-writing! ;) Looking forward to hearing about that prequel you'll be doing!

  9. Hi, Terri. Congratulations. Re: your periodic table of elements inspiration. Have you by any chance read Primo Levi's brilliant collection of stories/memoirs, The Periodic Table, each piece titled by a different element? 'Titanium' happened to be my favorite among favorites.

    1. Hi Steve, nice to meet you. No I haven't, but now I'll check it out. I decided to use the elements back in 2003. I post one short story the 1st of each month on my blog. Www.territalleyventers.blogspot.com. I've written @26 of the 110 elements. My goal is to put together a collection of all the elements. Thanks for stopping by!

Congratulations! I am so proud! Isn't it amazing how an acceptance and publication fuels even more writing?
