Celebrating A New Paranormal Romantic Suspense From Ericka Scott

Today on our Cyber Launch Party Blog, we're celebrating Ericka Scott's new paranormal romantic suspense with L&L Dreamspell, WILD GHOST CHASE.

Ericka Scott is a multi-published, bestselling author of seductive suspense. She's written stories for as long as she can remember and reads anything under the sun (including the back of cereal boxes in a pinch). She got hooked on romantic suspense in her college days, when reading anything but a textbook was a guilty pleasure. Now, when she's not chauffeuring children around, wishing she had more than 24 hours in a day, or lurking at the library, she's spinning her own web of fantasy and penning tales of seduction and suspense. She currently lives in Southern California with her husband and three children.

She also loves friends, so come friend her on Facebook, Twitter and Myspace.

WILD GHOST CHASE by Ericka Scott

Two reality-show ghost-busting teams versus one haunted house.

The first team to successfully exorcise the spirits wins the renewal of their television contract. It sounds like a pretty straight-forward competition, but something or someone at Harrington House has another agenda.

Over the course of a weekend, the two teams with their respective technical advisers, a supposedly impartial network executive, and the beautiful owner of Harrington House find it isn’t just the ghosts who are running amok.

A killer is on the loose and if they don’t work together, they could all become permanent residents.

  7. Congrats on your new release. This sounds really scary - and exciting too!
Have you ever been in a house that's reputed to be haunted (e.g. the Tower of London when you were there recently!) - and if so, did you get any 'vibes' while you were there?

  9. Thanks for the terrific comments. I love all the paranormal shows out now.

I'll try to answer all your questions in one lump here.

First off, I do believe in ghosts, although I'm not "sensitive" that I know of.

The first time I encountered a spirit was after my best friend died from diabetes complications. She left three young daughters behind. One was staying with our family as she went through a painful divorce. On several occasions I caught sight of a shadowy figure lurking in the bedroom hallway. I'm sure it was my friend, checking in on her child. The other encounter was with a little girl ghost in the bathroom at our local elementary school. Neither one was "scary", at least not when it was happening. Thinking about it in hindsight, I get chills.

Yes, I believe in ghosts and spirits. I've never seen/encountered any that I know of, but I do believe they are there.

Thanks for the chance to win! Oh, I wasn't able to get the excerpt to work either.

  16. Marybelle - Wild Ghost Chase is a bit of a mix...there's some light-hearted spots, and hopefully, there's also some chapters that will give you chills.

Debby - Ghost stories are my favs to write, if you check out my website, I have several that might be of interest. Postcards from the Dead, Phone Calls from the Dead, and Beckon the Dark, just to name a couple.

Robin - how do I come up with the ideas? Honestly, it's a bit of a mystery, even to me. This one was obviously spawned from my love of ghost stories and all of the paranormal shows on television. Mating the two seemed like magic.

Jen B. - I've never had the chance to go to Gettysburg, although my family and I spent a day at Antietam. It was such a peaceful place now, and hard to imagine the horror and death that had soaked those rolling green fields.
