Celebrating A Hot New Contemporary Menage From Lexxie Couper

Today at our Cyber Launch Party Blog we're celebrating Lexxie Couper's new release BLOWING IT OFF - a hot new menage with Ellora's Cave!

Lexxie's not a deviant. She just has a deviant's imagination and a desire to entertain readers with her words. Add the two together and you get darkly erotic romances with a twist of horror, sci-fi and the paranormal.

When she's not submerged in the worlds she creates, Lexxie's life revolves around her family, a husband who thinks she's insane, a pony-sized mutt who thinks he's a lapdog, two yabbies hell-bent on destroying their tank and her daughters, who both utterly captured her heart and changed her life forever.

BLOWING IT OFF by Lexxie Couper
Stimulated, Book One

A fire has destroyed the studio of glassblower Phoebe Masters. And she knows what that means - a visit from the arson investigators. The two men who reduced her heart to cinders. Men she’d hoped never to see again.

One wild weekend with Phoebe overwhelmed Will Bradley and Damon Hunt. Like wankers, they blew it off, burning any chance for a future with the talented beauty. The investigation gets them back in her life, but now they have to prove the three of them were meant to be together. Their strategy?

A body-blazing inferno none of them will ever be able to extinguish

  6. Hello Lexxie!
Congratulations and good luck on the new release! I hope you made those two boys grovel a bit before she lets them back in her bed. How could they blow her off like that? It sounds like a hot menage story. I like reading menage stories because it seems like the emotions are more complex.

Thanks for the giveaway! I would love to win Timeless Wrath!

  11. I read the exchange between Will and Damon and their connection instantly came across. Was their relationship what inspired the story first?

  14. Not a deviant? Bummer! Only kidding. What made you decide to write menage/erotic and not just write romance?

  20. shadow_kohler: Research - I do quite a bit. I visited a glass blower for this one and spent quite a bit of time talking to both my dad (who is a retired firefighter) and the local arson investigating team. As for plotting...LOL I rarely know what's happening in my books. I'm such a pantser :)

  21. AuthorIsland: G'day, DeNita. And seriously, Copping A Feel is the most popular blog post? Oh, my giddy aunt, that's insane :) Wow, I hope Blowing it Off strikes the same accord with your readers *grin*

The funny thing is, Blowing it Off came about after I wondered how many naughty titles I could come up with that used the adjective/noun structure. So you could say Copping A Feel was the beginning of it all. After Blowing it Off, I have Revving it Up, plus three more (which I'm going to keep a secret until our next Stimulated book launch party. *grin*)

  22. Deb - ta muchly :) I had fun writing this.

    elaing8 - no m/m only m/f/m. I haven't yet been courageous enough to try to write m/m/f ;)

Ilona - aw, ta muchly. I hope you love it.

  23. StacieD - oh, they grovel. Plus a whole lotta other things ;)

  24. June M. - my dad is a retired fire fighter, so I grew up not just hearing about fires, but quite often being at fire scenes while he was working (if I was driving and he got the call there was a fire, I had to get him to the station as fast as possible. It was a brilliant way to learn to drive, trust me *grin*).

And other books...oh, hon, you need to go check out my backlist ;) www.lexxiecouper.com

  25. Crystal Dee - I love writing both, I have to say. Sometimes I set out to write a standalone and one of the secondary characters demands their own story. Case in point, the heroine in Savage Transformation was a quite minor character (as in, she was only in the book for a page and half) of Savage Retribution. But she wouldn't leave me alone. Kept nagging at me to tell her story.

I also like exploring a theme through more than one book (like the Deadly Sins theme I'm exploring through my 7 Deadly Daemons series for Ellora's Cave).

As for my most special...oh wow, ummm...I honestly don't think I can pick. Savage Retribution is very special because it was my first print release, but then Triple Dare also has a very special place in my heart because of the characters in it (have you read it?). Then there's Stone's Soul, which was my first Ellora's Cave release.... Nope, can't give you just one book. But it you had to pick one book to introduce yourself to me and my writing style, I'd say Death, The Vamp and his Brother. Or maybe Copping A Feel. Argh! I can't pick!

  26. tonya said - Fav type of book to read? Oh, man I'm eclectic in my reading. For example, I'm currently reading Mari Carr's Happy Hour, Stephen KIng's Under the Dome and the first book of the Game of Throne series.

My fav type to write? LOL Honestly, whatever my muse tells me. I've written comedy, paranormal, drama and horror. As long as there's a passionate love story involved, I'll write it :)

    ReplyDelete
  27. Bookwyrm369 - my fav part to write was the last bit of Chapter 6. It ends like this...

“Ah fuck,” Will growled. “Now we’re going to have to chase him down.”

The lead up to that line was sooo much fun to write :)

    ReplyDelete
  28. Leni - I seem to have a thing for writing Aussie blokes being best mates. There's a real theme through most of my boks set Down Under that explores the relationship between guys. Will and Damon clicked from the start (one of my other books, Triple Dare has been described by more than one reviewer as a bro-mance before its a romance *grin*). I figure, if two guys are going to share something as special as a woman, they've got to have a special relationship before hand :)

  29. lindseye - Oh wow, thank you, Lindsey. Talk about making a girl grin :)

  30. Heya Cathy M - it's not Father's Day Down Under. Our father's Day isn't until September. But my Sunday was brilliant and so far, my Monday has been as well :)

  31. Jen B. - I started writing erotic sci-fi many years ago. I wrote one small menage scene in one of those sci-fis but it wasn't until my Samhain editor dared m to write a menage book. That was Triple Dare and since then, I kinda can't stop *grin*

    ReplyDelete
  32. Sherry - easier to write genre? Probably sci-fi. I just put my Dr. Who/Star Trek geek hat on and let it flow out of me. Hardest? Lately, I've been shocked at how deep some of my contenporary characters are. When I need to put myself in their POVs is hard. Brilliantly wonderful, but hard all the same.

Laurie Penman -I first knew I wanted to be a writer when I wrote my first story back at the wise of old of 7. I wrote a story about a girl and her pet drago called Sandy. From that point, I was in love with the written word and telling stories. I've written many genres but all have a been romances. Well, from the time when I first fell in love they have been ;)

Debby - They do know their mummy is a writer, although I have had to try and explain why they can;t read my books yet (and why there are no pictures in them was an interesting discussion *grin*)

SheriV - My dad is a retired firefighter and I have so much respect for those who fight fires and investigate them.

Destiny - I love reading anything. Honestly. If you took a look at my bedside table (and my Kindle list) you'd find books from just about every genre. :)
