THE MAGIC IN HER GIFT by Missy Martine

Sara's finally getting what she wants out of life, a husband, a new home and a family of her own. Okay, so she doesn't love him. She's very fond of him, at least most of the time. She's not getting any younger and that biological clock is ticking away.

Everything's going according to her plans when a ghostly visit from her dying grandmother turns her life upside down. She's leaving Sara the magic to make all her dreams come true. It's too bad she dies before telling her granddaughter how to make it work.

Sara travels to a romantic, private island off the coast of New Guinea to settle her grandmother's estate and dreams of the perfect man. He's handsome, sexy and hopelessly in love with her. He's also running out of time. Will she find the magic in her gift before it's too late?

  1. Good morning Missy and super congrats on the new release! What a beautiful cover and I love the idea for this book - the blurb is a real hook!

This is quite a bit different from your other books, tell us how the idea for this book came about and will be be seeing Sara again?

This is also your first book with eXtasy books too, right?

Hope it's a best seller for you!

  2. Hi Missy,
The Magic in Her Gift sounds really good,I hope to read it soon.

    My question is
You've written about wolves and now magic, will you be writing any vampire books in the future or any other paranormal creatures?

  3. Good Morning, DeNita - Thanks so much for hosting this party to let me tell people about my newest release.

You're right, it's different from the other books I've written. I've always been fascinated by the idea of magic - people being able to do things that others can't. It just seemed natural for it to seep into one of my stories. Plus, I always like putting out the message that there's a true love for everyone out there somewhere. You just have to be willing to look for it and you should never settle for second best!

I won't say for sure that we won't see Sara again - the way my imagination works you never know!

Have a great day and again, thanks for having me.

  4. Good Morning Elaine,it's good to see you again :) I do have one vampire book idea that's in it's early stages but it won't be until sometime in 2013 - But, I've in the process of a new multi-part series that has several different kinds of shapeshifter - Lions, Wolves, and a new species that are chameleon-like and can shift into multiple forms. The new series is titled Galactic Nuptials and will be released sometime late this year.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

  5. Hi Missy- Congratulations on the new release!

My question is are you a plotter or a "panster" when you write? Do you listen to music when you write or do you need complete silence?

  8. Congrats on the new release. It sounds great. How did you start writing? Was it something you always wanted to do or was it something that developed after you retired from nursing?

  9. Oh, my, I've gotten behind today. I'm so sorry, my only excuse is I got caught up on my current project - sometimes you just can't walk away from the story :)

Hi Marie - I'm a planner - I plan my entire story out on an outline before I even begin. It's the only way I can keep the plots straight and moving forward accurately. I had a series of strokes back in 2002 that left me with short-term memory problems and my plots would be pretty strange if I didn't plan them out :) And I have to have silence when I write - no television, radio or stereo - I even lock the cats out at times so I don't have to listen to their meowing !

  10. Hi Donna, I'm so pleased you liked my two menage stories - I hope you like The Magic in Her Gift just as much :)

Hi Jean - Thanks so much, it's always good to hear when someone likes one of my books!

Hi Michelle - I'd love to say I dreamed of writing when I was a little girl but it would be a big old lie :) My husband nagged me into writing two years ago to get me interested in something that would exercise my brain. I couldn't work out anymore and daytime television was driving me insane. I finally wrote Table for Three so he'd quit nagging - I've never regretted a moment of it now. Who knew I'd grow up to be a writer - after the age of 50!

Thanks for stopping by today ladies!

  15. Hey Tracey - good to see you again whether you have questions or not :)

Hi Sara - I'm about to type The End on a book called Anna Doubles Down - a menage back to 1871 Hamilton, NV - and the first book in my Galactic Nuptials Series - a M/M/M/F story about a woman who agrees to be a mail-order bride to another planet (that's book 1)

Hi Leni - Thanks so much, I appreciate the kind words.

Hi Sherry - Yes, my favorite genre to read and write is paranormal shapeshifter - I lean toward wolves mostly. I also like the books to be menage.

Thanks so much for stopping by today, ladies!

  16. I only discovered your books recently. I have read through all the prior comments and questions to see if my question was asked. Sadly, it was. I do however have a followup question! How have your thanked your husband for pushing you into writing?
