  1. Good morning Ann and super congrats on the new release with Liquid Silver Books!

Tell us about MAGIC'S DAUGHTER and what you think makes a great gothic romance.

Do you think we'll see these characters again?

Enjoy your launch party today and here's to MAGIC'S DAUGHTER being your biggest seller yet! Have fun!

    1. Thanks, DeNita!
Great to be back on Author Island! Magic's Daughter began as a short story subbed to a publication in response to a request for gothic tales. It has the requisite creepy old mansion, a black cat, and even a sentient African Gray Parrot! Those are the gothic elements. The romance element is sweet, poignant, and laced with "maye it's too late because I might end up dead" tension.
You never know with my characters! They have a way of popping up in the oddest places!

    1. Hello bn100,
I suppose my favorite mountain might be Mount Rainier. I grew up in Seattle and spent a lot of my girlhood sitting in a big, blue easy chair looking out my living room picture windows. On clear days, Rainier dominated the view. To finally stand on top of it when I was 19 was an incredible high.

  3. This book sounds terrific. You are a "new to me" author. Is this book part of a series? Can it be read stand alone?

    1. Hi Donna,
Thanks for dropping by. Magic's Daughter can definitely be read as a stand alone. If you do read it, please let me know what you think.

  4. You're a new author for me as well. I read gothic novels as a teen, love them and don't see many of them anymore. Glad to see one again.

What's your favorite genre to write in? I love paranormal, but I'm getting a little tired of the shifters and vampires. I would love to see more ghosts and creepy weird stuff.

One more question, if you don't mind. What's your favorite time of day to write and your writing schedule? I find it interesting to hear so many different answers from authors.
