Celebrating A New Wet Release From Zenobia Renquist And Changeling Press

Today on our Cyber Launch Party Blog we are celebrating a new Wet release for Zenobia Renquist's (aka D. Renee Bagby) and Changeling Press!

OVERFLOW by Zenobia Renquist

Between the devil and the deep.

Lulu and Hotsuma should be enjoying a happy married life but trouble continues to follow them.

Masato is back and his reappearance puts Hotsuma in danger again. In exchange for his silence about his return, Masato makes an indecent proposal Lulu cannot help but accept. To make matters worse, someone else has found out about Hotsuma's powers and is willing to end those powers, and possibly Hotsuma with them, if Lulu doesn't meet his demands.

She's in over her head and the water is steadily rising. Luck and love won't solve the problem this time, but maybe help from an unlikely option will.

Note: This title is a direct sequel to UNDERCURRENT. Author suggests reading them in order.

Renee is a military brat turned military wife who is currently stationed in Hawaii with her husband and two cats.

Whether writing as D. Renee Bagby or Zenobia Renquist, she is a world-builder. She loves inventing new cultures and shaping their histories and laws because it beats researching the existing ones.

Her stories span the fantasy gamut but she dabbles in sci-fi and contemporary from time to time. While her main characters tend to be of different races, she doesn't let skin color rule or limit her stories. For her, it's all about how much she can torture her characters so they earn their happily-ever-after ending.

The rules are all new and pre-conceived notions will only slow you down, so when reading Renee's stories, she asks only one thing -- Leave Your Reality Behind.

  1. Super congrats on the new release Zenobia! And how great to have a sequel to your first Wet story, UNDERCURRENT.

For those not familiar with the Wet Series with Changeling Press, can you tell us a bit more about it and how the books connect? And tell us more about your stories in this series. You have a very unusual hero - can you tell us more about that?

And let us know what's up next for you.

Enjoy your cyber launch party and I hope OVERFLOW is another bestseller for you! Enjoy your day!

    1. Howdy all. Sorry I'm late. I'm going in 50 different directions and still trying to catch up.

The Wet series is a multi-author series from Changeling Press. All the books have a main character who inhabits water (not a mermaid) or in my case a main character who is water.

Hotsuma, the main hero in Undercurrent and Overflow, is a water spirit. He can control water and shape it to form his body or anything else he wants.

  2. Hi there. You are a new author for me and I love finding new authors!

The blurb sounds interesting and when I went to check it out, Changeling has it marked as a menage, didn't get that from the blurb. Not that I mind, of course ;) but I just wondered if it was or not. And I see that you recommend reading the first book in the series before this one. Is it a menage as well?

Off to read the excerpt now. Best of luck with your new book and I'll be back for to check out what you have to say when I'm I get off work tonigt.

    1. Hi Jerry, thanks for coming out. I do recommend reading the stories in order because Overflow is a direct sequel to Undercurrent. I do hint at the events of Undercurrent in Overflow, but to get a full understanding, it's better to read Undercurrent first.

While Undercurrent is M/F, Overflow is M/F/M, so yes, Overflow is a menage. The line "indecent proposal" in the blurb was supposed to be the giveaway for that... to a certain extent.

    1. My favorite thing about Hawaii is also my least favorite thing about Hawaii -- the weather. It's consistent and temperate. That's great pretty much all year round except during Thanksgiving and Christmas, especially Christmas. It's hard to get in the festive mood when it's not cold outside.

    1. Fedora, thanks for coming out and yes I'm always writing. I finished "Overflow" back in July along with "Undercurrent," "Fantasy vs. Reality," and "I Need an F." FvR is due out in January. I think "I Need an F" comes out in March. Not sure.

I'm currently working on an 8-book short story series for Razor's Edge Press, another novella for Changeling Press, and a novel for Samhain. I hope to have my 2013 jam packed with books.
