Celebrating A New Historical Shifter Romance From Sandra Sookoo

Today on our Cyber Launch Party Blog, we're celebrating Sandra Sookoo's new civil war shifter romance!

A WOLFISH TRYST AT CHRISTMAS by Sandra Sookoo

Elizabeth VanHaussen has exchanged letters with Blake for a year, and he’s promised to meet her at her uncle’s annual Christmas Eve party, but the war often throws plans awry. In such stressful times, she can’t wait to tell him how she feels because who knows what tomorrow holds.

Blake Harrison, a captain in the Union army, has one night free from his obligations. The War Between the States might have broken the nation, but he refuses to let it claim his love for Elizabeth as a casualty. And for Christmas, he intends to ask for her hand.

Desire and mutual need collide on the dance floor, but what transpires once they adjourn to a private bedroom will forge their future regardless of wartime.

  1. Good morning Sandra and super congrats on the new release! Love the cover and the story sounds great. Such a great time period to write about, why did you choose it? How does it add to your story? And for those who aren't familiar with your Wolfish Series, can you tell us more about it and how the books connect?

Enjoy your launch party today and I hope your new release is your biggest seller yet! Have fun!

    1. I stumbled onto the Civil War time period by accident. I was doing other research and went haring off into something else that led to this time period. I love it because the nation was already so divided, it'd be easy to believe there could be werewolves wandering about.

In this story, Blake (the hero) is Caroline's brother (she's from A Wolfish Tangle) I wanted to write something about him since he wouldn't get a whole full length story.

    1. Hi Fedora :-) How many stories so far in the Wolfish series? Three are out. There will be a short for Valentine's Day then I plan to write the third full length in the spring of next year. That should close out the series :-)
