Celebrating A New EC Series For Veronica Tower

Today on our Cyber Launch Party Blog, we're celebrating a sexy new release in Veronica Tower's brand new Playtime Series!

STREETWALKER by Veronica Tower

Book 1 in the Playtime Series.

On their tenth wedding anniversary, Edie and Jack vow to reinvigorate their sex life and save their marriage through randomly selected fantasies. First drawn is Jack’s fantasy starring Edie as a common streetwalker. Equal parts enraged and aroused, Edie determines to blow Jack’s mind.

Luring him to a seedy section of town, Edie pulls out all the stops to give Jack exactly what he asked for - whether he can handle it or not. High on the erotic rush of newfound power over each other, the couple vows to take the game - and their marriage - to the next level.

    1. Thanks for hosting my Cyber Launch Party! There are currently three stories in the Playtime series under contract with Ellora's Cave, and I'm working on number four. They all follow Edie and Jack, an interracial couple who are trying to get their marriage off the rocks by learning how to have fun with each other again--and they do have a lot of fun ;-).

  2. Hello Veronica and best wishes for your new book. I don't see many romances with married hero and heroine, so this is great.

What made you decide on a married couple for your main characters? And will your seris follow Edie and Jack or be about different people?

    1. Hi Katie, thanks for coming to the Cyber Launch Party!

You're right, most romances have to do with new love--boy meets girl and by the end of the story the reader knows the new couple is going to live happily ever after. But life doesn't always work that way. People fall out of love--even when they don't want to--so I wanted to explore whether or not a couple could find true love--with each other--a second time.

Lots of people all around us are waking up in the morning wondering what the hell happened to the great guy they got married to. They aren't happy anymore, but for a variety of reasons like kids, finances, and the oaths they swore when they got married, they don't want to just give up and start over. So I wanted to write about a couple finding love where they were never supposed to have lost it. It's very different than new love, but I hope you will agree that it can be even more romantic as we watch Edie and Jack try to rebuild their lives together and forge a relationship stronger and better than the one they imagined when they wed.

I hope you will give it a try and let me know what you think. And if you like the theme of exploring relationships after the first couple of dates, you might also look at my Snowbound series.

I'm currently working on the fourth book in the Playtime series and a new, very intense, erotic SF series.

My next book coming out will be Snowbound Christmas Cheer this December.

      I hope you enjoy Streetwalker.

    1. Time is a problem, isn't it? I do most of my writing early in the morning and then squeeze in some more whenever a little time opens up in the day.

  6. I love the sounds of this, Veronica--while I still love romances of all kinds, I do find I'm more interested in stories involving couples already in long-term relationships. It's a different set of issues they face, and it's inspiring to see what authors come up with ;)

Where do you find inspiration for your characters' issues and situations?
