Today on our Cyber Launch Party Blog, we're celebrating Kate Richards' sexy retro erotic romance with Decadent Publishing.
THE MILKMAN COMETH by Kate Richards
The Edge Series from Decadent Publishing
Roberto’s reputation extends far beyond his efficiency as a milkman. He also provides intimate services to the many lonely ladies along his route. But he’s had his eye on a lovely divorcee for quite some time. One who has ignored all his flirting, so far.
Alice is ready to make a fresh start. Treated as the tract harlot, just because she’s on her own, she’s ready to make that name a reality. And she’s going to begin with the handsome milkman who has let her know on several occasions that he’s ready to deliver.
Roberto is playing with fire—a fiery redhead whose surprising innocence may steal his heart and leave the ladies of his route unsatisfied once again!

Thanks DeNita! I was so excited to see that silver star. It is a fun mini-series. The 1950s in Los Angeles was an incredible time in the Los Angeles area, with huge growth in a number of industries like aerospace My own family landed here in 1951 and I interviewed my mother as well as others on quite a few topics to get the feel for the time. For a story of this length, it was my biggest research project yet. But I fell so in love with the era, there will be more to come!
ReplyDeleteCongrats, Kate!!!
ReplyDeleteLooks great, Kate! Congrats! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Ladies!
ReplyDeleteHell's bells, if our milkman looked that hot, I'd still have one today. Best wishes on the first book in this "creamy" series, my friend. So, tell me, does DH like the milkman? LOL
ReplyDeleteI'm trying to convince him "milkman and lonely divorcee" could be fun to play...:)
ReplyDeleteThis book sounds wicked!!! ahh, I remember the days of the milkman. NO! I wasn't born in the 50s LOL. but we had milk deliveries in glass bottles up until the last decade or so in the UK. In fact, I think some places still have it. Miss those days. Fresh milk and orange juice on your door step every morning. SIGH.
ReplyDeleteI'm ready to enter your land of poodle skirts and hawt milk men...and at 1.99, there is no reason not to! WOOT
And mega grats on the silver status in All Romance. How awesome is that?
I love reading your stories, Kate! Congrats on your new release! :)
ReplyDeleteOhhh JoAnne, that was so lucky to have a milkman for so long! I remember waiting for him in the morning for eggs or milk or juice lol. I don't know why we always ran out.
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting, Jessica!

Oh, gosh that's hard. Especially without spoilers! But I'm a sucker for how people come together and are just right for one another. Makes me cry every time. Not all the stories in this mini-series will be HEA...but this one has a certan heart to it tht I just loved writing :)Along with the sexy parts, of course!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great excerpt and an intriguing series, Kate! Congrats! Do you think you'll revisit this time in future stories? What did you enjoy most about writing this story?

I do have the next one well on the way. I love research and it was a lot of fun researching the era...just the lingerie alone!
ReplyDeleteI have to give credit to my friend author Stephanie Williams. We were talking one day about writing sexy stories about blue collar guys. Her The Landscaper is crazy sexy!
Fabulous!! I wonder who is going to come knocking next?
