Today on our Cyber Launch Party Blog, we're celebrating a sexy historical from Sandra Sookoo and Liquid Silver Books.
Sandra Sookoo is a writer of romantic fiction. Her portfolio includes historical, contemporary, sci-fi and paranormal romances. She loves to blend genres and spice them up and often times will add humor as well.
After catching the writing bug at the young age of ten, she’s gone on to grow her unique writing style. She’s a regular contributor for the Paranormal Romantic's blog and has a great time keeping things interesting at the Believing is Seeing blog.
When not immersed in creating new worlds and interesting characters, Sandra likes to read, bake and travel. Her favorite place to spend vacation hours is Walt Disney World. It’s where dreams come true and the soul can play. That suits her just fine. Writing is her ultimate dream job.

COURTESANS AND THIEVES by Sandra Sookoo
Audrey Harper wants nothing more than to experience life before she consigns herself to taking care of everyone else in her family. A Halloween masquerade fits the bill. As a French courtesan she intends to lure an unsuspecting man into her bed, find a few moments of bliss and leave before the clock strikes midnight.
Justin Redding's life as a junior accountant is as far from exciting as he can get. As a result, he supplements his income and thirst for adventure by stealing jewelry from the area's wealthy upper crust. He's admired Audrey from afar and convincing her father that he's good enough is uppermost in his mind. Disguising himself as a masked avenger is the only way to win her heart.
What happens next is a heady jaunt through a crowded 1880s ballroom, a shadowy pumpkin patch and perfumed sheets. But unraveling lies and secret identities might trap the pair in a sticky web, dissolving the moonlit love affair before love's bloom can take root.

Morning Sandi and super congrats on the new release! It sounds fantastic and I loved the excerpt - can't wait to read it!
ReplyDeleteI love how you give your readers something different with every release - paranormal, historical, sci fi - you write something for everyone and by doing that, you offer your fans a taste of a different genre they might not have read before!
Tell us a bit more about your newest release and what you have in store for us coming up.
Enjoy your launch party today and I hope COURTESANS AND THIEVES is a bestseller for you!
Sandra! Congrats on the new release! You are so prolific! I'm impressed you have an autumn release! Did you plan that or did it just happen? How do you write so fast? Share your secrets! :-)
ReplyDeleteThanks for letting me hang out with you today!
ReplyDeleteWhat's on deck? My next release is in December and it's a retelling of Rumplestiltskin :-) I'll also have sexy little Christmas short :-)
Hi Pauline!
I definitely planned the fall release :) I wrote it last year for submission this year.
How do I write so fast? I consider writing as my job. I do it every day whether I feel like it or not. I also outline ahead of time :)
Congrats on your latest release! Sounds like you have two very unique characters here :-) Which was your fave to write?

Hi Bookwyrm!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite? I loved writing Justin. He comes off as a bad boy, but he might just surprise you with the secrets he keeps :-)
Sounds like another winner Sandra. You write a lot of different genre's, have you ever done a time-travel story?
ReplyDeletedrainbamaged.gyzmo at gmail.com
Hi Kathryn! Have I ever written a time travel? I have one. It's Marking Time, just released in September :-) I really liked doing it and would love to do another one :-)
ReplyDeleteI don't normally read excerpts for books I add to my wish list. Excerpts drive me nuts! Well, now I want to know more about Justin and Audrey. Thanks for the giveaway!

Thanks Jen! I hope you'll check the book out!
ReplyDeleteArtemis--that first manuscript? Believe it or not, I actually literally burned all my early works. Threw them in a fire pit. That's both good and bad I guess. I have held onto early works from when I "got serious" about my writing. Those will never see the light of day.
ReplyDeleteWow so many different types of writings! Do you have problems switching gears at all?
ReplyDeletedebby236 at gmail dot com
Hi Debby. Sometimes, it is difficult, but thankfully, I have good editors that will catch that stuff for me when I can't see it. :-) I like being able to offer readers a good variety.
ReplyDeleteYour new book sounds great. Question for you, does it contain a touch of magic or is the magic in the romance? I couldn't really tell from the blurb and trailer, if the book was parnormal. Either way, it sounds like a wonderful read.
ReplyDeleteOh, one more question, what's the hottest book you ever wrote?
Hi Katie! This book has no paranormal magic at all :-)
ReplyDeleteWhat's the hottest book I've written? I'd say A Christmas Interlude or Caribbean Heat :-)
Congrats on your newest release! Sounds great! What are you writing next? Do you work on one story at a time or do you bounce between several?
ReplyDeleteshadowluvs2read(at)aol(dot)com
Hi Shadow! What's next for me? I just finished up a novella today (but you'll have to wait to find what it's about) Starting tomorrow I'm getting back into a sci-fi romance.
ReplyDeleteDo I work on multiple projects at one time? Nope. One at a time :-)
Sandra, congrats on this latest! It sounds like a fun read, perfect for the season! Is there a time period you haven't tried your hand at yet that you'd like to give a shot?
ReplyDeletef dot chen at comcast dot net
Hey fchen! A time period I haven't tried? I'm tossing around an idea for a book set in the Wild West. I also want to do one set during WWI. :-)
