YELLOW RIBBONS by Caitlyn Willows

He saw her across the room, a beautiful offering strung between the pillars awaiting a master to bring her the rush of bliss. That's when Greg Landess knew no one was going to have his captain but him.

Lani Hollister didn't have a clue what release was like until Greg claimed her. Calling it magic didn’t come close. He'd captured more than her body that night, he cradled her heart in his big, wonderful hands.

Their relationship was a secret they kept from the world. Their love a secret they kept from each other. Fraternization between officer and enlisted, between supervisor and subordinate, are strictly forbidden. Neither expected a call to a murder scene would jeopardize their affair and make them the enforcers of the very rules they've broken.

  1. The military is very strict about that. Never mix. Are you going to do more books of this type?

  3. Congrats on your latest release. I have something of a crush on the military hero. What type of hero did you first have a crush on?

  4. Debby,

I have done other books of this type. :)

Always Faithful w/a Catherine Snodgrass w/Bryndis Rubin and its subsequent stories Ice Princess and Judging Ellie. I followed Ice Princess with No Strings w/a Caitlyn Willows.

Then I did a m/m erotic romance series w/a Cassie Stevens -- Addicted, Committed, and Betrayed, which were compiled into the print anthology Together.

  5. Thank you, Tammy.

There is a secondary character in Yellow Ribbons that I would like to develop a story for. :)

  6. Lil,

Now if I answer that question I'm going to seriously date myself.

It was James Darren in the very short-lived series, Time Tunnel. A rough and tumble scientist caught in time and having adventures.

  8. Congratulations on your new release Caitlyn! Yellow Ribbons looks yummy!

My question is are you more of a plotter or panster? and can you tell us what kind of research you did for Yellow Ribbons?

  9. Donna,

I still love him. He was also Vic, the holographic lounge singer, in Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, and sang and looked as great as he ever was. He was Moondoggie in Gidget and had a role in T.J. Hooker. :)

I hope you enjoy Yellow Ribbons. :)

  10. Maria,

I'm a combination of both. I start off as a pantser then morph into the plotter. From that point I intermingled both.

Research for Yellow Ribbons was easy. I've been associated with the Marine Corps 1971, as a Marine spouse, and as a employee for the Marine Corps. We live in a military committee and the story is set in the area in which we live (with liberties taken here and there for the sake of the storyline).

  11. I'm celebrating as well.

Yellow Ribbons is my 100th story! Now, before you rush to my website to count... It is number 100 when you encompass all stories written by all four of my pen names: Caitlyn Willows, Cassie Stevens, Catherine Snodgrass, and the pen name of my two children's books.

  12. Happy Release Day Caitlyn!

Internet went down while I was working this morning and just came back on. So, I'm late to the party, but better late than never, I guess! Feels like Monday....

Loved the idea (esp the heroine being the captain and outranking the hero) and the excerpt for your new release and I can't wait to read it!

Very glad to hear you're thinking of doing a spin off book with one of your characters, love to find that HEA for wonderful secondary characters.

Hope you enjoy your party today and hope YELLOW RIBBONS is a HUGE bestseller for you!

  17. Julianne,

I don't have a favorite genre. I read a story that appeals to me. There's really no telling what that might be. :)
