Celebrating the Release of TRIPLE S BRIDE by Dee S Knight

Today we're celebrating Dee S Knight's new release, a red hot Western Menage Sci Fi Romance!

Prior to writing her first fiction only a few years ago, Dee S. Knight lived a varied lifestyle. After college she married her high school sweetheart and they became house parents at a home for wards of the court. Thus, she went from newlywed to "mother" of a dozen teenage boys, in a month. Two years of living in one city proved to be enough, and she and her husband spent the next eight years as long-distance truckers. Swiftly following their trucking years, she became a computer consultant, high school and adult ed teacher, technical writer and novelist. More than thirty years later, she's still married to her own hero and finds life infinitely interesting. They currently reside in the Midwest.

Looking for something sweeter, meet Dee's sister, Anne Krist.

WEBSITE *** MYSPACE

A scorching new Western Menage Sci Fi from Dee S Knight.

Mail order bride Sabina Volt wants a husband like she wants a hole in the head. She escapes the cruelty of her fiance on Earth by running to the remote planet C8282 and a marriage contract with a stranger. When she seals the contract in a bout of wildly fulfilling sex, she thinks Walt Sheridan is the one man she might be able to trust.

Walt Sheridan has low expectations when he orders a bride for himself and his two brothers, but when Sabina steps off the shuttle he knows she is the woman for him...for all of them. His only reservation to offering his heart and soul to the sexy woman with the long legs and high-heeled boots is the secret she keeps from him. One thing is certain, the Sheridans will use any means to protect her from whatever put the fear in her eyes.

  1. Congrats on the new release Dee - Wowww - hot stuff girlie, but what else can I expect from you!

Loved the excerpt and can't wait to read more! How did the idea of this book come up?

Glad to see a new release from you too - you need to write faster - lol...

Enjoy your very special day and may TRIPLE S BRIDE be your biggest seller yet!

  2. Good morning! I've had a cup of coffee and feel awake now. (g)

Thanks so much for hosting a launch party, DeNita. And thanks for saying I should write faster--I agree. It might help if I knew how to type (an unknown fact). I have the ideas for half a dozen more books, but actually hitting the keys slows me down.

The original idea for this tasty treat came from a list of criteria we all had to follow. It had to be a western in some time period (I chose futuristic because it was new and strange to me), the heroine had to possess certain items. There had to be a cowboy hat and a dog. It was fun trying to incorporate the requirements into the story.

Writing for Tasty Treats is fun and I love the authors I've met and become friends with while creating the stories--people like Amber Carlson, Jenny Penn and Raina James. I'm proud to be a part of all the Siren authors, really. They're a talented group.

  4. I have to run to the post office, but will check in when I get back. And then let's talk about hot stuff, erotic romance and ménage. Do you read both, or do you draw the line somewhere?

  5. This sounds like a very good read and I can't wait to read it. Do you write under any other name?

  6. Congratulations on the new release. I read all genres and most types of erotic romance. I'm not big on same sex erotica, but don't rule it out totally.

  7. I read the excerpt and this sounds so good. This is a new take for me when it comes to reading about mail-order-brides. I can't wait to find out what happens.

  8. Hi, Sherry. I write non-erotica as Anne Krist. My book Burning Bridges is a mainstream romance set mostly in Beaufort, SC, a wonderful, beautiful town.

    Thanks for the congrats!

  9. Andrea, I also read all kinds of romance. Even same sex romances. I have a friend who write M/M so well you get lost in the story and forget it's about two men.

I'm glad you're open to all kinds of romance--I hope you'll try and enjoy Triple S Bride!

  10. Thanks for dropping by, Leni!

To tell the truth, I had a hard time coming up with an idea for a futuristic western, and mail order brides hit me just as I was falling asleep one night. I didn't see why something that happened in the old west couldn't still be happening in the future.

I hope you enjoy the book!

  14. A western sci fi, are you a fan of Firefly and Serenity? Does one of the Sheridans resemble Nathan Fillion (yum)?

  17. Congrats on your new release Dee. The excerpt sounds fantastic. I do have a question though. Does Sabrina know she's marrying not just 1 man, but his 2 brothers too?

  20. Congrats of your newest release. I like the premise of an abused woman running and finding a new life in the stars. It sounds like a good blend of romance and western and scifi which all include great love stories and allows someone to triumphantly returns to a well lived life.

  22. Hi Dee :)
Congrats on the release of The Triple S Bride.
LOVE the excerpt but can't wait to find out what made the scream 8D Definitly a winner of a book.

    Mindy :)

  23. Thanks, Crystal. The Triple S Bride is a big departure for me and it was fun to write. I hope everyone likes it!!

I'd like to recommend that everyone check out the other Tasty Treats in this series. Raina James' story, Marshals' Most Wanted, is fabulous and so is Amber Carlton's Three in Paradise. Those are two I've read, but the other authors in the series are so good, you know their stories have to be.

Are there going to be any more stories about the planet C8282?

  25. I liked Firefly and Serenity a lot, Anne. (Why is it when I enjoy a TV show it immediately goes off the air??) Unfortunately, none of the Sheridan's are like Nathan. They are all tall with brown hair and green eyes. And need I say they are all blessed with extra long um...you know whats? No wonder Sabina wants to stay.

  28. Debby, thanks! I'm working on a couple of things for Dee, one of which is another menage western located in North Dakota. But I keep thinking about projects for Anne, not Dee, so who knows what I'll be writing in a month or two--it could be something steamy or something sweet. I hope you'll stay tuned!

  29. Congrats on the release of The Triple S Bride. Loved the blurb and the excerpt. It sounds like a fabulous read! I enjoy reading menages and many kinds of erotic romance. :)

  30. You are so sweet, Virginia--thanks!

And bless your heart for saying you enjoyed Burning Bridges! I loved that book and I loved writing it, so it makes me happy to know people enjoy reading it!!

  31. Sandie, thanks for that question. No, Sabina thinks she's going to a far off planet to marry one man, Walt Sheridan. She doesn't find out about the other two brothers until she is almost to the ranch. On the other hand, Walt thinks she knows everything. He's shocked that such an educated woman didn't read the "fine print" of her contract.

  33. Jodi, how wonderful of you to stop by!!! Thanks for the congrats. Jack was gone, but I still had a nice Valentine's Day. Hope you had a wickedly romantic one!

  34. Hi, Sharon. I know wonderful writers who create great futuristic worlds but I never thought I was up to trying it. I think I might have succeeded--I hope so. Let me know after you read The Triple S Bride, okay?

    ReplyDelete
  35. Mindy, hooray! I'm so glad you liked the excerpt. I will not reveal what screamed. :)

  36. There won't be any more stories set on C8282, Mindy, but I have plans for young Charlie, the youngest brother. He's a sweetheart who wants to be a shuttle pilot, so the next story will feature him in his new career.

I almost never base a character on someone I know, but Charlie is (very loosely) based on a guy I worked with in Chicago. My friend is as nice as Charlie but I don't have any info on his bedroom talents, lol.

  37. Estella, thanks! And thanks for stopping by to post, too. I really appreciate it.

  38. I like the idea of a western having a futuristic setting to it. Reminds me of Joss Whedon's Firefly. I enjoy reading menages stories and am really hoping I win it.

  39. Eva, I hope you'll enjoy The Triple S Bride! It is a departure, but I think familiar enough for you to identify it as being a comfortable western we all know and love.

  41. Oooo, Annalisa, thanks so much! Please let me know how much you enjoy The Triple S Bride.

  42. Sharon, I never want to write about abuse in a light manner, and I hope Sabina's situation doesn't come across as that. I have personal experience with abuse so while I believe it's a topic that should be explored, it should always be done with sensitivity. Anyway, Sabina escapes and finds a world she loves, which is how I want everyone's life to be.

Well, that was too heavy for our little chat, lol. Sorry! Didn't mean to step up on the soapbox. Thanks so much for stopping by to say hi.

  49. Do you have a scene in your mind that you haven't been able to fit into one of your stories yet?

  50. Hi, Phyllis. The rating is SCORCHING! I can't believe it. When I started writing erotic romance a reviewer said one of my books was "sweet." I laughed and asked Jack what I would have to do to make reviewers notice the books had sex in them.

  51. Thank you so much, Linda. Maybe you will get the chance to read it if you win the drawing tonight.

  52. Yes, actually I do have such a scene in mind, Susan. I thought I might be able to use it in a book I started about revenge and then another book that is set in the 1950s. I can't describe the scene to you here, of course. ;)

    Thanks for posting today!
