Celebrating Lexxie Couper's New Dark Paranormal Release

Today we're celebrating Lexxie Couper's new Ellora's Cave Twilight release, TIMELESS WRATH and the fact that her book. DEATH, THE VAMP AND HIS BROTHER, was just awarded a CAPA for Best Erotic Paranormal Romance!

Lexxie's not a deviant. She just has a deviant's imagination and a desire to entertain readers with her words. Add the two together and you get darkly erotic romances with a twist of horror, sci-fi and the paranormal.

When she's not submerged in the worlds she creates, Lexxie's life revolves around her family, a husband who thinks she's insane, a pony-sized mutt who thinks he's a lapdog, two yabbies hell-bent on destroying their tank and her daughters, who both utterly captured her heart and changed her life forever.

A new Ellora's Cave Twilight release in Lexxie Couper's Going Down Under series.

Beatrice "Ricki" Sullivan is every man's fantasy. Drop-dead gorgeous, she exudes a sensuality none can ignore. More than just a stunning face and body, she's intelligent, kind, gentle...and madly, inexplicably in love with Evron, a man she's known mere hours.

Evron McKenzie is troubled, struggling with undeniable anger that scorches through his veins. And the irrational feeling he is someone else, something more. Someone rich, powerful...someone to fear. But in Ricki's arms, Evron may have finally found his place in the world. At last he is at peace.

So who is the seductive redhead who invades Evron's dreams? Why does she urge him to touch a mysterious sculpture - a sculpture that seems to radiate death and sin? How can she make him hornier than he's ever been in his life with just a look, and at the same time turn his anger into bloody, murderous rage? And, more frighteningly, why can't he resist her?

Now you had told me this was a very dark and very twisted erotic paranormal - care to elaborate? Tell us a bit about it and where the idea for it came from.

  2. OOOh this sounds good! Is this book considered horror? I use to read mostly horror back in my late teens early twenties, but have moved to more romance now. But I kind of miss it, so this might be a fun mix of the two.

It's going on my to-try list.

  14. Ack!! Sorry everyone, I've had major interet problems this side of the world and have only just been able to get online. Argh!!!

Let me respond to your questions one at a time, shall we...

DeNita - I honestly have no idea where Timeless Wrath came from. My head is a genuinely scary place *grin* I remember visiting my eldest brother in Sydney one night and we went out for dinner in Kings Cross - the suburb where Timeless Wrath begins. I was watching the people streaming past the resturant and couldn't help but make up a story for each of them. One of the "stories" was a visiting movie star incognito. I think Timeless Wrath's heroine was born from that night :)

As for the rest of the story...well, as I said - scary place, my head ;)

  15. Lauri Jo - definitely considered horror. My Ellora's Cave editor said it scared the pants off her :) I always wanted to be the Aussie Stephen King, and I had lots of fun making this as scary as an erotic romance could be. But trust me, there's still lots of sizzling sex and passion. ;)

  18. Heya, Eva S. Thank you for your congrats. If this is your first Lexxie Couper book, I should warn you - it's pretty intense. There's lots of sex and quite a bit of violence, but the hero and heroine are two of my favourite characters. :)

  19. Joda - Ta muchly :) Don't you love that tat? Makes me want to lick it *grin*

  21. Estella - thank you very much. Guess who did the Muppet Flail of joy when she found out? lol

  23. Heya, Tracy :) Now here's a name I recognise well. Hope you like Timeless Wrath. I'm thinking it may be the beginning of a series... Hmmm.....

  24. Oh, Sherry - you know saying things like that is only going to make me grin even wider, don't you. I hope you enjoy Timeless Wrath. I'd love to know what you think of it :)

  25. G'day, Sharon. This is pretty much on par with the tone of most things I write. Most books are dark and twisted, usually with quite a lot of sarcastic humour (I think it's the Aussie in me *grin*). I have written two "fluffy bunny" erotic romances - one called A Sprite's Tale about Santa's hunky nephew higjacking Christmas and my current work in progress, called Stolen Identity. I must admit though, those lighter tales do tend to get hunted down by the evil critters living in my head before they get a chance to be written *grin*

(Ok, now even I'm worried about how weird and disturbed I sound lol)
