Determined to make a new life for herself, Maddie Bowers travels to her late grandfather's cabin in Wyoming. When she was a little girl, she was first introduced to her grandfather's wolf and is delighted to find the wolf still living in the nearby woods, and that the wolf remembers her.

Remus has known Maddie was his mate since she was young. But a tragic accident and a cruel doctor kept them apart. Now that she is back, it's up to him to help her control her secret abilities and accept the truth about her heritage.

The love between Maddie and Remus will be threatened by a jealous woman and Maddie's brother's partnership with the evil doctor that kept her confined for so many years. Can Maddie and Remus realize their destiny before it's too late?

I'm glad to know this is a series of books and that the story doesn't end here. I'll be putting these on my wishlist.

  20. Hi Estella, I was a nurse for quite a few years, then had a series of strokes in 2002. Went through a long rehab and after it was over I found I still had problems with short term memory. I couldn't work at nursing anymore and I had to find something to keep me busy and make me feel accomplished. My husband egged me into writing my first book. Took him a while to convince me I could do it, but I finally gave in to shut him up :) The rest is history. Nobody was more surprised than me when my first book, Table for Three, was accepted for publication. I found a new niche in life, a whole new career, and all after the age of 50! Thanks for stopping by and good luck on the contest.

  21. Hi Missy! Sorry to hear about your strokes. My mom had one about five years ago so I know it had to have been rough on you. Glad to see that you took up writing. Your books sound really good!

Congrats on your new release. I enjoy romantic thrillers and wolf shapeshifters - your book sounds like a great combination of both! I think the book trailer is wonderful and love the music.

  28. Hi Missy! I can't wait to read your books-they sound fabulous! Do your characters talk to you in your head?

  29. Hi Danny, Thanks for the kind words and for stopping by today. Good luck with the contest.

Hi Marcy, Hmm, do the characters talk to me in my head? Not sure I know how to answer that. I don't sit and imagine conversations per say, but I do daydream and sometimes night dream the situations that I put my characters in. Since I create their personalities before writing the story, the dialog seems to flow pretty smoothly. If I've already decided that a character is brass, sarcastic with no sense of humor I pretty much know how he's going to respond to any given situation. I know I do get so wrapped up in my stories sometimes that they invade my dreams when I sleep, but so far, never in a bad way :)

Had a really cool compliment from one of my husband's co-workers yesterday. She just got back from Yosemite on vacation and told me that driving through the forest there made her think it was a perfect place for her to run into my character Remus! I figure I must have described pretty well in the book if driving in a forest brought my character to her thoughts on vacation. I can't ask more than that!

Thanks for stopping by and good luck on the contest.
