Meet Laura Tolomei.

If you really want to know, I was born in 1965 in Rome, Italy, but soon started my travelling career. At the age of five, my parents took me to Lagos, Nigeria, where I grew up free and hot like I've never been since. I loved it there and still think of it with nostalgia. Anyway, it was also where I learned English.

After my African experience, I was ready to tackle the US. I lived in Atlanta, GA, five teen-age years, attending the Crestwood High School, where I started my writing career by publishing a short story Nostalgia on the Crestwood Journal. Very thrilled about discovering my new talent, I went ahead during college, writing for the Emory University journal The Phoenix. Three articles mark my first-and last-steps in journalism, "The peace Corps", "WAMM, Women Against Military Madness," and "Lesbism".

After my American experience, I moved back to Rome, but still kept living from time to time abroad, spending several months in Mumbay India, a country I always felt very close to me in more ways than one.

Today, I write both in Italian and English, mostly fiction of various genres, from fantasy erotica, to mysteries up to plain ordinary life stories.

In English, I write erotica in various genres, mostly fantasy, sci-fi and paranormal, sometimes trespassing into contemporary. Feel free to look over my current and future projects by clicking here.

  2. Hi DeNita, it's so great to be here again! And to celebrate my novellas, no less!

Yes, they are for various tastes and genres. They are also among my earliest works, the stories I started out with back in 2008, when I was still a nobody trying to make my way in the writing business LOL

Seriously, though, these works date so far back that I've done extensive rewriting, in order to bring them up to date with my current style. I wrote them for eXtasy Book's Anthologies - Atlantis Allure, Sanguinary Seductions, Emerald Envisage - which were published between 2008 and 2009. Which is why I had to go through them before I released them as stand alones. The structure for all three has remained the same. Characters are also no different from the original ones. Everything else is so very different. People who might have read the first versions probably won't recognize them!

The Moon Priestess, originally part of Atlantis Allure, is a fantasy about the last days of Atlantis. The Moon Priestess, Keylar, tries to get her people moving away form Atlantis. She can feel the catastrophe coming. Too bad her lover, the Sun Priest, doesn't support her. In fact, he has Keylar talk to a stranger who might just have her change her mind. No, more than talk. The stranger seduces her into a sensual well of sex and pleasure that will leave her reeling. Begging for more. Will she listen to the new man in her life? Or will she follow her instinct?

Hunted, originally part Sanguinary Seducitons, is an horror. A very dark, mysterious story about a hunter dealing with a series of horribly mangled cadavers. A predator is on the loose in the small village that has become his home. But something doesn't feel quite right to Kendrick. And meeting Therry, a strange, beautiful man living alone in the middle of the forest doean't help things. Nor does the insane passion that attracts Kendryck to Therry. The ending is very much of a surprise, so you'll have to read it to find out. But I will say that this story, more than all the others, influenced my writing of the ReScue Series, of Bloody Passion, of Visionquest, not to mention the development of Christopher Templeton, one of the main characters of my Virtus Saga. That's how important this book is to me, and the way I rewrote it only made it darker, bloodier and more sensual.

Slave for Sex, part of Emerald Envisage, is a paranormal novel set in a futuristic world. Rydan's life work is to tend a beautiful, huge, green forest. He loves his work. He loves the plants. He'd love everything a little bit more if his lover Kyraen were still alive. Instead, Kyraen died and, and Rydan feels too lonely to appreciate his new mate. What makes him feel a little bit better is a green faerie he sees in the forest at times. A green faerie who has Kyraen's face. And body, too. So you can just imagine what will happen when Rydan will meet what he thinks a figment of his imagination in the flesh.

Well, hope you get the chance to read them!

  3. As for the future, it's all Virtus for me. I have to finish the Virtus Saga. It's an absolute must for me. The two final books are written. I just need to edit and send them over to my publisher, eXtasy Books. I know many are yearning to read the words The End to this series, which remains my favorite. So soon, they will in The Princess and The Lord, coming 2014!

Also for the future, I'm planning on finishing the ReScue Series as well. That's one story that's very dear to m, and I can't wait to write the third and final installment to it. 'Cause Leon and Sean have still some way to go before their past can be really over and their future may begin.

But speaking of the present, don't forget to check out my latest release Bondage Slave For Hire, a recommended read by Literary Nymphs, a Golden Blush Award and acclaimed also by Just Erotic Romance Reviews. It's quite different from anything I ever wrote. My first BDSM and my first VAMPIRE story ever! And from the way the reviews are talking, I must've done it right LOL

Thanks for having me here, DeNita!

    Ciao from Rome,
    Laura
