Celebrating A Magical New IR Romance From Veronica Tower

Today on our Cyber Launch Party Blog, we're celebrating a magical new IR romance from Veronica Tower!

HEALING by Veronica Tower

If you lost the use of your legs, what would you do to walk again?

When an automobile accident severs Ari's spine, she's willing to try anything to regain her mobility and the independence that comes with it—even travel to a mysterious clinic in the Rocky Mountains in search of a miracle.

But no one will tell her how the clinic achieves its fabulous cures or how an unbelievably handsome young man living at the facility factors into the process.

Can this hot young man regenerate Ari's spine? And if he does, can Ari live with the hidden price of Healing?

Veronica Tower was married to her high school sweetheart for five deliriously happy years and ten far less wonderful ones. Now she is taking the time to make up for lost opportunities. In addition to returning to school to pursue a degree in psychology, Veronica has committed herself to fully exploring her fantasies, both in writing and in person…

  1. Good morning Veronica and super congrats on your new paranormal romance. I read on your facebook page that this novel was years in the making and what you consider your best novel yet.

Can you tell us about that and how this story got started?

Will we see this world again?

I hope you enjoy your cyber launch party and I hope that HEALING is your biggest seller yet!

    Have fun!

    1. Hi DeNita, thanks for hosting me today.

Like most of my stories the nugget of this idea came while I was writing another tale. Usually when that happens--especially for a longer work like this--the idea bats around in my head for a while and starts taking shape but this idea was too powerful and I had to jump right into it. But even after finishing the first draft (and it was a very good draft) the story wouldn't let me go. So I'd write something else and then come back and tinker with Healing, trying new ideas, striving to make it absolutely perfect. Novels are different than short stories. It's more than just length--the ideas are bigger and they take a lot more out of you, but I think you will agree in this case it was worth it.

  2. Oh this sounds so good and kinda sad....you have me hooked with the line about can Ari live with the hidden cost of healing... very curious!

Did you research healers and psychic healing for your new book? Did you find anything to change your mind about it, one way or the other? I've always been fascinated by it.

    1. Hi Sharon,

Yes there are a couple of important (and hopefully unexpected) twists in this plot.

And yes, of course I researched to write the book. It's a fascinating topic.

Thanks for visiting my Launch Party.

  3. I'm very intrigued by this. I was drawn to it because of the wheelchair, as my husband is in one, but I have added it to my wishlist because of that blurb!

    1. Ilona,

I'm so glad you liked the blurb. Honestly, a good blurb is often harder to write than the novel. I hope you enjoy the book.

    1. When you spend a couple of years developing a set of characters it's impossible not to think about what will happen to them next. In this case, there are lots of possible avenues to explore, but I don't know if I'm going to write any of them. This story doesn't need a sequel, but if I got enough reader response asking for one there are stories percolating that I'd be happy to tell.

  5. This book sounds really good and I want to read more. What types of books do your read? Do you see yourself writing any historicals?

    1. Hi Quilt Lady,

I have written one historical. It's a short story called The Runaway and it tells the story of Delilah, an escaped slave, and the struggling sod buster, Carson, who saves her life. I'd like to write more historicals, and I have an idea percolating, but it isn't ready to pop out onto the computer screen yet.

Thanks for dropping by the Launch.
