Celebrating A New One Night Stand Story From Veronica Tower

Today on our Cyber Launch Party Blog, we're celebrating a sexy new release in Veronica Tower's bestselling One Night Stand Series!

SNOWED IN by Veronica Tower

One Night Stand Book Three

Lisa has a problem. She's dating a fabulous guy who will do just about anything she asks, but she can't quite convince herself this means he's really in love with her. She's had guys say all the right things before and then let her down the moment she opens up and trusts them. In her heart of hearts, she's afraid John is just like the others.

John has a problem. He's dating a woman he's crazy about but she won't commit to a monogamous relationship and he can't figure out why. The swinging she insists upon to keep them from getting too close is leaching all the joy out of his heart and his hope that one day they will marry.

It's a relationship forged in heaven and going straight to hell, but when a chance snowstorm traps them at Lisa's house, John sees his chance to convince his lover that don't need anyone but each other to make them happy.

Veronica Tower was married to her high school sweetheart for five deliriously happy years and ten far less wonderful ones. Now she is taking the time to make up for lost opportunities. In addition to returning to school to pursue a degree in psychology, Veronica has committed herself to fully exploring her fantasies, both in writing and in person…

    1. Thanks DeNita,
One Night Stand is one of those series that was originally only going to be one book. It's about a One Night Stand that becomes a rather strange romance. John and Lisa hit it off very well, but Lisa has had some bad relationships and has some serious problems with commitment. So she insists on playing some games to "prove" that they aren't so serious with each other so that when they break up it won't hurt so bad. The games are slowly driving John crazy. All he really wants is Lisa. And he reaches the point where he just can't stomach playing them anymore. In this latest book he's going to push the issue of where there relationship is going and whether or not Lisa can really commit to him--which is exactly what Lisa fears most.

As to why I write series? Most romances are about the beginning of a relationship--boy meets girl. And let's face it, that's a very fun point to explore. But I'm also very interested in how relationships develop. You see that in my Snowbound Series and in my new Playtime series. You can't really do that in a single book to the extent you can in a series.

      Thanks again for hosting me.

  2. Just read the excerpt, sounds great. But I have a question about the name of the series. From the sound of the blurb and the excerpt, it's more of a deep romance than a one night stand, right?

    1. Katie,
The sad truth is that this series is a little bit misnamed. It wasn't originally going to be a series. It was about a romance that bloomed from a One Night Stand. But the first book led to a second and my publisher and I just took the name of the first book as the name of the series as we continued to explore the romance developing between John and Lisa. I actually plan to expand the series to new romances beginning with One Night Stands through the support cast of these stories, but I wanted to bring this first romance to a better place first.

      Thanks for your question.

    1. I've been thinking about the story for a long time because I left my lovers, John and Lisa, in a place in their relationship I wasn't happy with. I always knew they'd reach this point where they had to decide whether or not they really wanted to spend their lives together and it was just time to write it.

  4. Congrats on the new release. Snowed In sounds fantastic. Can't wait to read it. Is there any genre that you'd like to write but haven't?

    1. Thanks Joanne,
I am starting to branch out into new genres a little. I've been working on a science fiction story for about a year now--a very sexy tale about an arrange marriage and the sort of culture clash that science fiction was invented for. And I'd also like to do more with paranormal romance. I have my first one, a beautiful novel called Healing, coming out in February.
