Celebrating Sandra Sookoo's New Sci Fi Christmas Romance

Today on our Cyber Launch Party Blog, we're celebrating Sandra Sookoo's new Sci Fi Christmas romance!

Sometimes the future meets us when we’re not looking.

Andrew Grabel is a Lieutenant Colonel in the United States Air and Space Force. It's tradition for his family, so is never being home for Christmas. Though he longs to celebrate the holiday with all its feel good nostalgia, the reality of space travel doesn't make that possible. Neither does an R and R stint on a far-flung space station since Christmas is unique to Earthlings.

Mira Nisirian is on Epsilon station for one reason only—to steal anything of value then get out for her next destination. She's a thief and a criminal, and though she might dream of fitting in with Earth people and their culture, nothing can erase her Neptune origins or her real alien form. Choosing Andrew as her first victim is her first mistake...

...falling for him is the next. What's more, Andrew's constant talk of Christmas fascinates Mira. She covets the home she sees in his eyes. Andrew's future outlook is shaken as he finds himself trying to convince her the Earth holiday is a state of mind, but Mira's compulsion to share her truth might damage their budding relationship.

Sandra Sookoo is a writer of romantic fiction. Her portfolio includes historical, contemporary, sci-fi and paranormal romances. She loves to blend genres and spice them up and often times will add humor as well.

After catching the writing bug at the young age of ten, she’s gone on to grow her unique writing style. She’s a regular contributor for the Paranormal Romantic's blog and has a great time keeping things interesting at the Believing is Seeing blog.

When not immersed in creating new worlds and interesting characters, Sandra likes to read, bake and travel. Her favorite place to spend vacation hours is Walt Disney World. It’s where dreams come true and the soul can play. That suits her just fine. Writing is her ultimate dream job.

  1. Happy Release Day Sandra!

Tell us all about your new release. I don't think I've ever read a Sci Fi Christmas Romance, but I can already feel for your hero, out there on a different planet, wishing for a home-like Christmas. You've got me already.

You have a busy month, can you tell us a bit about your other upcoming December release, too?

I hope you enjoy your cyber launch party and thanks for offering up a copy of your new book to one of our readers today!

Raising the eggnog to wish you many sales of your new release!

  2. Andrew is the hero in Perfect Homecoming. He's stuck on a space station during the holiday while his shuttle gets repairs. All he wants is to relive the feelings Christmas used to give it. When he has a run in with a pick pocket from Neptune, he wants the magic of Christmas more than ever :-) It's a fluffy little holiday romance but I love the hero.

Also, coming later this month is the 2nd book in the Scandal in Surrey series THE BRIDE'S GAMBIT. I'm so excited to release this book. It features a runaway bride and a highwayman. Scandal, of course, ensues. lol

  3. *waves hi* grats on the new release, Sandra!!
I'm huge fan of both your work and holiday romances, so this is a no brainer for me!! Even though Sci-fi isn't my usual genre, I'll happily jump to the stary-side ;)

    1. LOL Hi JoAnne! This story isn't hard sci-fi by any stretch. It's more like a contemporary... with an alien LOL But thanks so much for picking it up and being such a fan. That makes me smile :-)

  4. Ooh, LOVE scifi, Sandra! Is this new story a stand alone, or does it tie in to any of your existing stories? And woot! more Scandal! ;) What are you currently working on? :D

    1. Hi Fedora. This sci-fi piece is a stand alone. I just wanted to write a Christmas romance :-)

And yes! I can't wait to share the next Scandal in Surrey book. Seems like I've been waiting so long to put it out there! :-)

Right now I'm writing the 2nd menage book in the Redemption Cove series. Then I'll get started on a brand new Regency series about four siblings :-) Always something going on!

  5. A sci-fi about Christmas - my kind of book - lead me to it :D
