  1. Congrats on the new release Declan! Tell us all about the new book and for those of us not familiar with your Blood-Hound Series, can you tell us how the books are connected?

FORKED is a gay, dog-shifter, science fiction, fantasy romance, right? How on earth did all of those elements come together for you? I love how authors' minds work! Thanks for putting all these ideas down on paper (or cyber paper, as the case may be) for us!

I hope you enjoy your cyber launch party today and I hope FORKED is your biggest seller yet! Have fun!

    1. Hey DeNita!

The premise of the books is that all the creatures we have on Earth, from snakes to lions and even the mythological creatures we write about, are all actually based on shifters from other planets. So the snake man in Forked came from the planet Elitper (yes, he does eat rodents - he has a freezer full of them in his office #:0) and the dog shifters come from Eninac. Fairies come from yet another planet, etc. These creatures all visit Earth occasionally and leave behind the lesser species from their planets, which is why we have normal, 2 foot long snakes and dogs that don't talk or shift into human form.

So simple. #:0) I made the characters gay just because I thought it would be fun. LOL!

Thanks for hosting my cyber launch today!

  3. I don't read a lot of m/m romance, but I do like it to change things up a bit. And Cliff Blood sound like a great character, I loved the excerpt and you had me icking over the snake, so great description, lol.

I'll be checking out this one for sure.

    1. Hey Sharon! I'm glad you enjoyed the excerpt. The snake character was fun to write and I have to admit this was my favorite scene of the book. #:0)

Thank you for coming by to see me!

  4. A snake shifter is kinda gross and yet I really want to read this story. It's also very original. What lead you to forgo the more popular werewolf and opt for a snake.

    1. Hey Tanja!

Actually, the heroes in this book are other kinds of shifters. The snake is Cliff's boss. Cliff's a bloodhound and Falen is a special kind of shifter. I don't want to give it away. #:0)

I do write the occasional werewolf, but that's been done so much that I really like to stretch the bounds once in a while and do something a little different. A bloodhound shifter as a bounty hunter just seemed to make sense.

Great question. I'm glad you stopped by!

  5. This one sounds just as good as the first in the series! Are you planning on having more in the Blood-Hound series? *is hopeful*

    1. Hey Ley!

I actually have at least one more planned. "ROASTED" is scheduled for early October. In that one, Matt, Rum, Cliff, and Falen will all come together to try to stop an interplanetary organization from creating havoc on Earth. It should be fun.

Thanks for coming by to visit!

  6. This looks like it will be a great read. What gave you the idea of a snake shifter? Do you have any other odd shifters planned?
