UNCONDITIONAL SURRENDER by Desiree Holt

Book one in the Attack Force Series

When an alpha Delta Force leader and a prosecuting attorney meet at a bondage club, which one will be the top and which one the bottom?

Slade Donovan has been a Delta Force team leader for years and the missions are beginning to wear on him. He’s been a Dom for longer than that, but now he’s tired of the string of faceless women and wants to find the right sub and form a permanent relationship. Someone who understands his life and can deal with it.

Kari Malone excels in her role as a prosecuting attorney but the iron control she needs to do it gets tiring. And her search for the right man is fraught with disappointments. When a friend introduces her to the D/s scene, she finally finds an arena where she is able to both shed her mantle of control and indulge in her sexual fantasies. She meets Slade, also a guest, and their brief connection is instant and intense.

Five years pass before they meet again. By now, as Butterfly Kari has created an alternative life for herself at The Edge, a very private bondage club. Her search for the right man falters when she realises none of them can compete with the memory of the man she met in Chicago. When Slade turns up at The Edge it’s apparent from “Hello” that the heat between them has been simmering all this time and is about to explode. But can each of them provide what the other needs to make this work?

OUT OF CONTROL by Desiree Holt

Twenty five years ago Carrie Nolan was the only victim to survive the killing spree of a pedophile. Her life has been frozen in time, and not even a move to a distant city and a name change has healed the wounds that left her emotionally and sexually scarred. Determined finally to reclaim her life, Carrie returns to High Ridge as multi-published crime novelist, Dana Moretti, in hope of asking the questions that would lay her nightmares to rest.

Sheriff Cole Landry, came to High Ridge to escape the horrors of Iraq and Afghanistan, but soon after the sexy author arrives and starts poking her nose into matters best forgotten, his town once again becomes the hunting ground of a ruthless killer. She’s sure it’s the same man, and he’s not all that convinced she’s wrong. Keeping Dana safe means keeping her close–very close–under his protection, under him.

Between her sexual need for Cole and the danger lurking behind every stranger’s face, her world is spinning out of control.

Desiree has lived a life of excitement that brings the color to her writing. She was a summer fishing guide, a summer field hand where she was one of only three women working, a member of a beginning ski team that skied in competition (and no, no broken bones!). She spent several years in the music business representing every kind of artist from country singer to heavy metal rock bands. For several years she also ran her own public relations agency handling any client that interested her.

She is twice a finalist for an EPIC E-Book Award, a nominee for a Romantic Times Reviewers Choice Award, winner of the first 5 Heart Sweetheart of the Year Award at The Romance Studio, and is published by four different houses. Romance Junkies said of her work: "Desiree Holt is the most amazing erotica author of our time and each story is more fulfilling then the last."

  8. Catching up on the comments. Favorite setting: almost everything I write is set in Texas where I live. I'm one f those people with the sticker that says I wasn't born here but I got here as fast as I can.

And yes, I get a lot of ideas from real people and real life. It's fun putting them in a book.

  11. All these books look interesting. Are you able to work on more than one story at a time?

  12. Thanks, guys. I think anything with cowboys is my favorite genre, especially when I write BDSM, but paranormal is a close second.

  13. Congrats on having four new releases.
Did you stagger your writing when working on the four books? That is, didyou work on one book for awhile then stop to work on the other and so on?

  14. Congratulations on your latest releases. You are obviously a prolific writer, do you ever work on more than one book or series at a time?

  15. Yes, Jess, actually I did. I started them all about the same time, and had outlines for ten but when I hit a wall with one I'd go on to another. Although Out of Control is different. I worked on that book for three years before I felt I had it ready to submit. If ay of you have read it I'd one to get some feedback.

  16. Wow, ten outlines going. Amazing. Your Out of Control book has a very intense storyline about emotional scarring. Did news events give you the plot idea or the interest to do the storyline?

  19. Okay, let's see. Out of Control was inspired by a Letter to the Editor in our local newspaper and someone's grandchild singing "There WAs a Little Girl." My weird brain just tok off from there.

One gene I never write-horror. I donut ant to scare myself!

Favorite book? I'd have to say three-Rodeo Heat, Downstroke and Joy Ride. I lived in those books.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Ah... since I don't like reading horror all that much (scares me!), that works for me, Desiree! Congrats on all these releases! Can't believe you're up to 140 now! That last 40 really zipped by quick! At this rate, I'd better not blink, or you'll be up to 150 or 200 ;)

What's the quickest you've been able to write a book? And you mentioned that you worked on Out of Control for 3 years before it felt ready to submit. Is that the longest?
