Celebrating A New Release And A New Series For B.A. Tortuga

Today on our Cyber Launch Party Blog, we're celebrating the release of a new magical romance and a brand new series for BA Tortuga!

DEEP IN THE HEART OF HEXES by BA Tortuga

Cowbell, Book and Candle Book One

Lily really isn't the shop-owner type, but she knows she has to go back home after college and take over her granny's weird, wonderful store, just like she promised. The problem is that Granny wants her to get serious about things she's not even sure she believes in. When Granny falls mysteriously ill after an antique shatters in the shop, Lily starts to think that the whole world is off-kilter.

Marc deals daily with the kinds of phenomena Lily is struggling against. He knows it's magick, but he's not sure how to convince such a beautiful, stubborn woman how to start looking for solutions of the supernatural variety. Lily thinks Marc is arrogant and amazingly handsome, but she doesn't want to trust him. Can the two of them learn to work together in time to save all that Lily holds dear?

Author's Note: I'm having so much fun with the Cowbell series! Lily and Marc just exploded into my brain and demanded they go first!

BA Tortuga enjoys indulging in the shallow side of life, with hobbies that include collecting margarita recipes, hot tub dips, and ogling hot guys at the beach. A connoisseur of the perverse and esoteric, her days are spent among dusty tomes of ancient knowledge, or, conversely, surfing porn sites in the name of research.

Mixing the natural born southern propensity for sarcasm and the environmental western straight-shooting sensibility, she does her damnedest to produce mainstream fiction, literary erotica, and fine works of pure, unadulterated smut.

With characters ranging from supernatural demons to modern-day cowboys, alternative illustrated men to Victorian dandies, the addiction to history and atmosphere is everpresent, and laced through with sensual pleasure. BA's latest projects include werewolves, rodeo cowboys, and fistfighting rednecks.

  2. Wow, BA! How cool! Can you please tell us a little more about the Cowbell series? How will the stories be connected? Different couples featured in each, or will we be following Lily and Marc's adventures? Woot!

  4. Lol. Okay, I love your bio. And it sounds like you write a little bit of everything! I'm not going to make you pick a favorite book of yours (choose between your babies?!), but do you have a favorite genre to write in, or one you find more challenging or interesting than most?
