Celebrating Lorelei James' New Print Release

Today we're celebrating the print release of two Lorelei James' Wild West Boys stories.

When I'm not squirreled away behind my laptop writing fun, sexy, contemporary erotic romances set in the modern day Wild West, I can be found reading everything under the sun, practicing yoga until I’m a pretzel, shootin' my .22, watching the Professional Bull Riders tour on Versus, and running a kid's taxi service, all in the guise of avoiding housework and rustlin' up vittles.

Why do I have a particular fondness for all things western? Well, I'm a fourth generation South Dakotan, living in the Black Hills, which is chock-full of interesting characters, including cowboys, Indians, ranchers, and bikers. The geographical diversity of the surrounding area showcases mountains, plains, and badlands. Living in and writing about rural settings gives me a unique perspective, especially since I'm not writing historical westerns. Through my fictional world, I can show the ideals and the cowboy way of life are still very much alive.

I also write a dark, gritty mystery series under the name Lori Armstrong and my novel Snow Blind just won the 2009 Shamus Award from the Private Eye Writers of America for Best Paperback Original! Check it out at http://www.loriarmstrong.com/

Ridin' West for the holidays in this paperback collection of two funny and sexy holiday tales from Lorelei James.

MISTRESS CHRISTMAS

When accountant Holly North is guilted into filling in at a Christmas-themed strip club, she fears she'll be recognized - or worse, exposed as a fraud. Instead she's shocked at how deliciously wicked it feels to don a velvet mask and the Mrs.-Claus-as-dominatrix outfit.

Detective Nick West is determined to find out who robbed his friend after a lap dance. Visions of revenge vanish faster than a flying sleigh when he encounters Mistress Christmas, a leggy brunette with a lush mouth made for mistletoe - and a holiday wish: for a secret Santa to sweep her away for a night of anonymous sexual pleasure.

MISS FIRECRACKER

One year ago carpenter Willow Gregory accidentally won the Miss Firecracker crown. Now she's ready to cut loose, but celebrating didn't include waking up in a sexy stranger's bed. Nor agreeing to work off the damage she caused to his friend's bar - or go to jail.

Normally, bartender Blake West could ignore a drunken, horny, naked beauty queen. But there's something about Willow that makes him want to blow his Mr. Nice Guy persona all to hell. It was supposed to be a no-heartstrings-attached affair, but every grinding kiss, every stolen touch leads to another...

Warning: These stories contains naughty holiday innuendo, love scenes hot as spiced cider, sweet and feisty heroines, and smokin' heroes with big...bottle rockets and candy canes.

  1. Your books sound wonderful I haven't read them yet but a friend has and she loved them. You write under two names and two different genres do you ever have a hard time keeping your books separate in your mind? Have you ever been writing on a story and think oops wrong series?

  4. Hey Lorelei,
What is your typical day like? Do you have a strict writing schedule that you adhere to or is it more whenever the inspiration strikes that you write? Are you a pantser or plotter?

Congratulations on the new print release!

    hugs,

  5. I love the way you write sexy cowboys and am hoping there will be more in the future. I also applaud you on writing about a character with a disability. As a person with a disability I'm thrilled to find characters reminiscent of me. Did you find it difficult to write scenes around his disability, particularly the sex scenes? Just curious, since most people think those with disabilities are asexual without having those kinds of desires.
