Celebrating Two New Shifter Stories From Marie Treanor

Love them furries? Well, today we are celebrating two new shifter releases for Marie Treanor, her holiday short - CRY FOR THE MOON and the third book in her Wolf Hunt Series, GALACTIC WOLF.

And while we're at it, let's celebrate her Fantastic New Contract! Marie is thrilled to announce a three book deal with giant American publisher NAL! Blood on Silk, the first of a steamy new vampire trilogy, will be published in September 2010!

Marie was born and bred in Scotland, but for some years moved around the UK working and studying. Now she's back home and happily married with three young children.

Having grown bored with city life, they live these days in a picturesque village by the sea where, instead of working for my living, she's lucky enough to be able to enjoy myself writing stories of romance and fantasy.

She draws the inspiration for her books mainly from the people around her and from Scotland's rich history and culture - with, of course, large helpings of fun and imagination!

CRY FOR THE MOON

A lonely woman spends Christmas by herself in the country cottage she once shared with her beloved husband, a soldier who disappeared without trace two years ago. She has finally accepted that he's dead and is even contemplating suicide.

On Christmas Eve, a knock on the door heralds the arrival of a homeless man in ragged clothes who bears a staggering resemblance to her husband. However, he doesn't know who he is, or what has led him to the cottage. Recklessly, she lets him stay the night, but begins to suspect she may have made a terrible mistake when, in the midst of unexpected passion, a wolf flees howling from her bed.

GALACTIC WOLF

As the Earth wolves are freed and the truth revealed, the Gardenians panic and bring forward their invasion. They send a fleet of star ships, led by the troublesome young Senator Cereza.

Cereza, mindful of her career as well as her duty, takes her responsibilities seriously. But she lets herself be distracted for long enough to capture the mysterious space pirate Captain who's been terrorizing Gardenians on the frontier for months.

Yuri doesn't even know his own name when he first meets her, but from the beginning, she confuses his instinctive mission to eliminate Gardenians. Taking her hostage to ensure the safety of his crew is necessary. Educating her in what he's learned of Earth's situation seems sensible. Seducing her isn't part of his plan, not when his wolf is liable to tear her apart. But their lust is powerful and has consequences that go far beyond their own emotions. The fate of two peoples is balanced in their hands.

  1. Since you've drawn inspiration from people around you,do they constantly think that a certain character is them? How often are they right?

  3. Hi Leni,

Well, my husband gets susicious about who my heroes are :)In fact most of my heroes contain various aspects of my husband, but none of them are actually meant to BE him. The same with my other characters - they may often be inspired by a stranger's face, or by one characteristic of a friend, but they tend to be composites from lots of different sources, not least my imagination :)

But I'm a bit of a secret scribbler and most of the people I know aren't aware that I write, so they won;t be looking for themselves in my books :)

  12. Hi Joder,

I'm afraid I'm not organized at all for the holidays! I've still got cards to write, presents to buy and wrap, the house to clean... We'll have a full house over Christmas and New Year with various relations staying, so it's a fun, busy time for us. What are your plans?
