THE TOUCH OF HER HANDS by Missy Martine

The Wind River Pack 3

Aurelia Salazar has a special gift the government wants to know more about. She can heal with just the touch of her hands. For five years they kept her hidden away while they studied her. And then two brave Marines helped her escape and smuggled her out of the country.

When some of the children of the Wind River Pack become ill, Zack remembers the young girl and her unique abilities. He goes to South America to find her and bring her back so she can help. He doesn’t expect to find she’s his mate.

Now, they’re racing against the clock to get her back to the States before it’s too late for the children. But Zack isn’t the only one searching for her. What happens when the scientist that held her prisoner for all those years finds them?

  1. Good morning Missy and super congrats on the new release!

For those not familiar with your Wind River Pack Series, can you tell us more about it and how the books connect? You plan on 12 books for this series, right? WOW - that's a big commitment! As a reader, I love a good series - I mean, I am always thinking "will so and so ever find someone?" and "what happens to so and so" and "I bet what's her name would be perfect with what's his name" - So thank you for really exploring this world you built for us!

Hope you enjoy your Cyber Launch Party today here and over on Facebook - and here's to THE TOUCH OF HER HANDS being your biggest bestseller yet!

    1. Good morning, Author Island :) Thanks so much for hosting my party today. The Wind River Pack Series is a continuation of my Wolfen Heritage Trilogy, only 25 years later. The original pack members all have grown children now, and they're all looking for mates of their own. What brings this pack back together is a tragedy! Children are disappearing from packs all across the northwest, and some are becoming sick with something the doctors can't diagnose. Remus, the alpha, is pulling the pack together in an effort to fight this invisible enemy. In this book, The Touch of Her Hands, Aurelia has been hiding her supernatural abilities her entire life. She can heal people with just the touch of her hands. Remus is skeptical when he hears about her, but Zack saw her in action when he helped her escape from a government secret lab when she was just a little girl. He gets his alpha's permission to go in search of her in South America in hopes she can save the children.

Their journey is made even more dangerous when Zack discovers she's his mate, and they find out the evil doctor that kept her captive as a child is still looking for his prize, lab specimen.

I'm not going to tell you more than that. Each of the 12 books will center around a different pack member finding his, or her, mate(s), as they get closer and closer to discovering who is behind all the disappearances. Keep watching, there are going to be some major surprises in this series!

    1. Hi Kim, I had a strange beginning as a writer. My husband nagged me into it as a type of therapy. In my youth, I was a nurse. Then, in 2002, I had a series of strokes. I recovered, but with left with vision loss, and a problem with short-term memory. I couldn't work in nursing anymore, and I went into a deep depression. It was during that time I actually read my first erotic romance. After a couple of years of this, he started in on me to write my own. He was trying to give me a purpose to live for. He told me that I had read enough of the dang things I ought to be able to write my own. So, I sat down at my computer, and started writing Table for Three. I've been writing ever since. Thank for stopping by today and Happy New Year!

    1. Hi Candy, First I have to finish The Wind River Pack Series - I'm only on book 4 out of 12 :) Then, I have a trilogy planned on the old west back when they had wagon trains. After that, I'm back to a paranormal series that will actually be a spin-off from the Wind River Pack Series. It will contain some characters you'll meet in the last couple of books in the series I'm working on now. Thanks for stopping by today and Happy New Year!

  11. Congrats on the new release Missy....I'm looking forward to reading it..and the others in the series.
I've read many of your novels and loved them. Why did you decide to write about shapeshifters and where do you find your inspiration?

    1. Hi Susie, The first shapeshifter book I ever read was Wallflower by Dana Marie Bell - and I fell in love with her pumas! I wanted to create my own shapeshifters, and I love spending time in Wyoming, so I decided on wolves. Wyoming is full of wolves and they are such fascinating creatures. My imagination could totally picture one of those fierce creatures turning into a tall, sexy man. As for my inspiration, I have a very fertile imagination. I can be vacationing with my hubby and see something in the woods that makes me think of a scene between a human and shifter and automatically piece together a scene for a new book. I carry a tablet on me for just such occasions. Drives my hubby nuts! Thanks for stopping by today and Happy New Year!

  13. Hi Missy, Congratulations on the new launch. How long did it take to get your first book published?

    1. Hi Bonnie, I sent my first book, "Table for Three", to Siren/Bookstrand. I got my acceptance from them approximately 8 weeks after I sent it in. I have been very fortunate in that I've never been rejected by a publisher. One they accepted it, it was another 7 or 8 months before it was published. It was my first attempt at writing anything other than nurse's notes and it needed a lot of editing :) Thanks for stopping by today and Happy New Year!
