Today on our Cyber Launch Party Blog, we're celebrating a new release in Missy Martine's sexy shifter ménage 12 part series!
AN OFFICER AND TWO GENTLEMEN by Missy Martine
The Wind River Pack 2
New York Officer Katherine "Kati" Mathews took a bullet in the line of duty and is now hiding out in a small town in Tennessee to recover. The head of a drug cartel wants her dead for killing his son and he has planted a spy in the area watching over her.
Synia Wind River and Kinnith Kowana were adopted into the Wind River Pack when they were young boys. Despite the fact one of them is a wolf, and one a falcon, they’re mates. When their alpha asks them to protect Kati, as a favor to a friend, they’re shocked, and pleased to discover she’s also their mate.
Things are going smoothly until Kati’s brother is kidnapped to lure her out. Will she discover out who she can trust before it’s too late to save his life?

Good morning, Author Island - First, thanks so much for hosting this party for me today. It's great to be back with you.
DeleteThe Wind River Pack series picks up 25 years after the Wolfen Heritage Trilogy ended. The members of Remus's family have grown children now and they're looking for their own mates. The pack has expanded over the years and now includes a lot more than just wolves. Everyone is also banding together to fight an old foe that's out to cause the shifter world harm.
In the second book, "An Officer and Two Gentlemen", Remus is asked to provide two of his pack members as bodyguards for a New York policewoman who's in hiding in Tennessee while she recovers from an injury she received when an undercover operation when bad. A drug cartel leader wants her dead for killing his oldest son.
Remus decides to send Synia and Kinnith, not knowing the two men are secretly mates. They've hidden it from the pack, not sure how everyone would take not only a wolf and falcon mating, but two men. When they arrive in Tennessee to protect Kati, they're shocked to find she's their mate as well.
Now the race is on to keep her alive from the cartel, figure out who the local spy is that's relaying information to New York, and convince Kati she'd be happy being mated to the two shape shifters.
There are going to be 12 of these books, each one introducing a new set of characters, each one letting a pack member find their mate, and each story taking the mystery of the pack's secret enemy a little farther. It's all going to culminate in a shocking conclusion so you should stick around and see what develops.
Some of the stories are ménage, but not all of them. I thought it would be strange to have everyone in a ménage relationship :) In fact, the next book out is "The Touch of Her Hands" and it's a M/F relationship that's full of humor, drama, and lots of hot, shifter sex!
I do like writing ménage I think because it's considered a little naughty. It's out of the norm, and the stuff fantasies are made of. I prefer writing the M/M/F because you can just be open, and not worried about the males having contact. The M/F/M books are harder to write the love scenes because of the guys not coming into contact with each other. It's hard to put 3 people in a bed and the guys never touch!
Again, thanks for hosting this party and I look forward to chatting with the readers.
these books sound so good. how did you get started writing menage stories what made you decide to start? congrats and keep up the good work.

Hi Kim, My very first book was a ménage because it was a favorite fantasy of mine. Also, the erotic book I ever read was Desire for Three by Leah Brooke and it blew me away! I wanted to create something similar that would mean the same to another reader. Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you have a Merry Christmas.
DeleteGood Morning Missy,
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your latest release. I loved Wolfen Heritage and now its spin off Wind River Pack. There are so many genres to choose from what made you decide to write menage with wolves and other shifters? You are projecting 12 in this series do you foresee another spin off or a whole new series of books as your next project?
Glad you are doing well after your hospital stay. Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Good morning, Robin, and thank you. I'm doing much better today. Had a rough weekend and first of the week, but we figured out what was wrong yesterday and now I'm on the mend. Menage is my favorite fantasy so it was a no-brainer that I'd write a lot of ménage stories. As for the wolves, think about it. What could be more exciting than a fierce creature that can turn into some handsome, sexy man and sweep you off your feet. It just seemed like the stuff fantasy was made of, so I changed my characters into shapeshifters and started writing. As for another spin-off, I actually have a short trilogy planned from something you'll discover in book 12 of this series, but so far, nothing after that. I have another historical series planned, set back in the old west during the wagon train days, and an historical about a prominent California woman from back in the 1800's- so my plate is full at the moment. Take care and I hope you have a Merry Christmas.
DeleteCongratulations, Missy, on this release!

ReplyDeleteDid you have to do a lot of research?

Hi, I did some research on Tennessee, and the New York police force. What I like about writing paranormal is there isn't much research necessary. You can pretty much make up your own rules when you want to. Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you have a Merry Christmas.
DeleteCongrats Missy, the story looks great! I'm going to check out the series now.
