ReplyDeleteBecky~I started writing because I read a lot of romance novels and thought, I could do this and I have some great story ideas. I was in between jobs at one point for three weeks so I sat down and wrote Texas Lady. A few friends read it and thought it was great so I self-published it and 2 more before I finally broke down and sent Cowboy Love to Siren. It's been history ever since.

ReplyDeleteI've met my favorite guy, Clay Walker several times, but I haven't met any singers just on the street. He's a huge influence on my cowboy hero's though and Cowboy Love is a lot like him. I also dedicated Texas Lady to him in part because he was such an influence on my development of Jeffery Walker.
I also tend to mention country songs in my books since I write a lot about cowboys. They usually have a bar scene or something in them where there's a country song playing.
