There are genres I prefer to read and prefer to write in -- and ones I don't care to ever read or try to write in.

The nice thing about romance is that it can touch on all genres -- mystery, suspense, historical, SF, fantasy, westerns, horror (I mean, honestly, that's what vampires and zombies and other icky-gross creatures make it -- horror romance)Michelle Levignehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03789006118926318938noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2799451507801345644.post-14424045663755552982012-07-17T07:34:14.606-04:002012-07-17T07:34:14.606-04:00Me, too!

And wander through the rooms and wonder which one opened up or just appeared right when I needed it.

Or wander the town and meet all the people I've created to put there.

But like I've learned in meeting celebrities -- writers, actors -- it's better to keep my distance and leave a shield of wonder between us. The reality is always disappointing ......

Better to keep Divine's and Neighborlee in my imagination!Michelle Levignehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03789006118926318938noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2799451507801345644.post-18418819426380824592012-07-16T16:00:50.669-04:002012-07-16T16:00:50.669-04:00Congratulations on the book! Welcome to the Cyber Launch Party f...GOOD MORNING!

Welcome to the Cyber Launch Party for DIVINE KNIGHT, the third book featuring Divine's Emporium, the odd little shop where you can find whatever you need, even if you don't know what you need when you walk in the door.
All you have to do is believe.

DIVINE KNIGHT finishes the story started in DIVINE'S EMPORIUM and followed up in HAVE YOURSELF A FAERIE LITTLE CHRISTMAS.

Along the way, you followed the struggles and lessons learned by Maurice, a Fae who tried to be a good guy, but went a little overboard in punishing the bad guys. He had to learn some moderation and mercy, and to really care about the people he was helping. To do that, the Fae Council shrunk him down to 6 inches tall, slapped gaudy wings on his back that even Tinkerbell wouldn't be caught dead in -- and Fae haven't worn wings in centuries! -- and shrunk his magic as well.

Then they exiled him to the Human realms for 2 years, and sent him to Neighborlee and Divine's Emporium, and made Angela his parole officer.

Along the way, you also received some hints as to Angela's mysterious past -- such as the fact she might not be from our world, she might be centuries old, and while she might have started out Human, she isn't quite Human anymore. Well, who would be, soaking up all that magic and dealing with magical creatures for so long?

In DIVINE KNIGHT, we start out with a happy day -- it's one of the 4 days out of the year when Maurice is full-size again, and free to spend time with his sweetheart, Holly, the local librarian. They set off for some fun and sun in the Lake Erie islands ... and leave Angela alone, when unanticipated enemies strike, and suddenly all the defenses of Divine's Emporium aren't enough.

In case you're interested, Divine's Emporium, Angela and Maurice appear in other books and short stories.

Specifically, in the 4th "All's Fae in Love and Chocolate" story, DEATH BY CHOCOLATE, our heroine, Epsi, goes to Angela and Maurice for help.

Also, in my YA series, The Hunt, the children of QUARTET are sent to Angela for help when they reach Neighborlee, and Cinden, the heroine of that book, can see and talk to Maurice.

Plus there are more stories I have in the works, set in Neighborlee, where you'll get to see more of Angela and Divine's Emporium and Maurice -- and get some glimpses of Neighborlee before Maurice arrived. But that's all you're going to hear about it for now.

Maybe.Michelle L.
