LOVE ME ONCE, LOVE ME TWICE - Book one in Sandy Sullivan's Montana Cowboys Series
Home. They say home is where the heart is, but can coming back to Red Rock, Montana really be home? Natalie Bennington is about to find out.
Finding herself in a blizzard and stuck in a ditch, the last person she expects to rescue her is gorgeous ex-high school jock, Cade Weston. His light brown hair and baby blue eyes had many a teenage girl all a twitter including her, but being the shy band girl didn't garner attention from his type. When Cade's best friend Kale, and ex-football jock shows up, the stakes have just shot through the roof. Both men want her and she can't understand why.
Cowboy and all around good guy, Cade Weston is a born and raised Montana boy. Yes ma'am, no sir, hold the lady's chair, open her door - those things were ingrained in his upbringing, but every man likes a pretty woman. Natalie Bennington has grown up into one gorgeous female and he can't get her out of his mind.
Kale Dunn can't get over the changes in the shy band girl he remembers from high-school. Natalie sure turned into one hot woman. All legs, gorgeous body and breasts big enough to fill a man's hands. Would she be willing to share? He and Cade liked to partake in threesome's on occasion, but from what he remembered of Natalie, he didn't think she'd be the type. Was he wrong?
Wined, dined and loved by two men. Can she make the decision to love only one or will their possessiveness drive her back to Oregon?

ReplyDeleteTell us all about this new Montana Cowboys series and how the new release fits into the series.
Wish you the best with the new book and hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas !!
Leni ~ Right now this series is open ended. I'm not sure how many characters will beg me to write their story. I have at least three more that are whispering in my ear. Other than all the books will take place in Red Rock, Montana, there isn't a centralized theme. Well, cowboys, of course. LOL
ReplyDeleteAnything I'm hesitant to write about? Mmm... probably Sci-fi. I'm not so much into the scentific world building kind of thing.
~ Sandy
Sherry ~ My all time favorite genre to write is westerns, if you hadn't noticed. LOL I have a thing for men in tight Wranglers, broad chest, tight bu... where was I again? LOL
ReplyDelete~ Sandy
Mindy ~ Each one of the series will be different. The first one is a menage, the second one so far is contemporary western and will have a little handcuff type play in it as the heroine is a cop. It's called Before The Night Is Over and is scheduled for late March release right now. After that, it just depends on where the characters take their story. I'm open to where ever they lead me.
ReplyDelete~ Sandy
I think what you were going for were tight butts.hehe.When do you start the next book for this series?
ReplyDeleteJessica Waters
This series will all be based in Red Rock, Montana. Each one will feature a new hero and heroine, but you'll see a few old favorites in there too as they progress. The first piece is Love Me Once, Love Me Twice and it's a contemporary western menage. It features the shy band girl, Natalie, who comes back into town after having moved away some years before. She's totally shocked when not one of the high-school jocks shows interest, but two. And they like to share.
ReplyDeleteThe second one so far, is a contemporary western and features the heroine as a cop. Her sister is being abused by her husband and the heroine is trying to help her sister understand it's not normal for a man to beat her until she's black and blue.
~ Sandy
Jessica ~ The second piece of this series is currently in progress. It's scheduled for late March release and it's titled Before The Night Is Over.

Hi Sandy,
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on the new series! It looks to be like another engrossing series to get hooked on *grin*
What do you think it is that makes cowboys such a fascinating subject to write and read about?
*hugs*
Anna
s7anna@yahoo.ca
Anna ~ Thanks for the lovely comments. You know, it's funny, when I was promoting Hot Summer Love (Cowboy Style 1) which came out with Whiskey Creek 11/1, I asked several authors and readers that very question. Most of the responses I got had to do with the sweet, gentlemanly behavior, the fiercely loyalty and protective nature of the cowboy. Yes, they look wonderful in Wranglers and a cowboy hat, but it seems readers like how they want to take care of the heroine and even if they have a little wildness to their nature, once they are hooked on someone, that's it.
ReplyDelete~ Sandy
Sandy, congrats on the start of a new series--as a fan of your cowboys, I'd say this is very welcome news!
ReplyDeleteAre you doing anything special to celebrate each release? Thanks for being here to party with us! And will you venture out to enjoy any post-holiday sales? :D
f dot chen at comcast dot net
I really don't do anything special to celebrate each release other than share the good news with my fans and let them know how much they mean to me.
ReplyDeletePost holiday sales? I'm staying in my nice warm house since it's currently snowing in middle Tennessee. Hopefully, once all this stuff stops, there'll be some great bargins left. If not, oh well. LOL
~ Sandy
Congrats! Sounds like an awesome read! What made you think of this story? Why did you choose that state?
ReplyDeletejessangil at gmail dot com
-Jessica
Jessica ~ Thanks for the great comments.
ReplyDeleteWhy did I choose Montana? I have a few states that say cowboy to me. One is Wyoming, another is Montana and the other is Texas. I love the scenery in Montana and since the first scene of this book has Natalie going into a ditch because it's snowing, Montana jumped out at me.
This story started with the scene of Cade and Natalie standing in the snow talking. Once I figured out how they got to that place, everything fell into it's proper position in the story. Of course, then Kale started telling me how he was involved and the menage came to life.

Thanks for stopping by, Carol. I love the guys in this story and Natalie, too.
ReplyDeleteTwo hot cowboys! How can you go wrong?
~ Sandy
How is she supposed to choose just one, when she goes from being the shy band girl to being wanted by two gorgeous men? ;-)Sounds interesting.
ReplyDeleteAngela ~ I wouldn't want to choose between these too.
ReplyDelete~ Sandy
Congratulations on the new release today. The excerpt sounds intriguing!
ReplyDeletenas_dean@ymail.com
Nas~ Thanks for the wonderful comment. I loved writing this book and for those of you who love a snarky, can't hold them down secondary character, Natalie's grandmother is a hoot! She kept my beta readers in stitches.
ReplyDelete~ Sandy
Can i just say Lucky Natalie! Two Cowboys no less *waves a fan to cool off* What a great excerpt! Sandy I love the Idea of a Cowboy Series, who isn't?! Looks great and I will definitely be getting these! If you ever need an area for non-conventional Cowboys Please think of Hawaii. On the Big Island we have the "Paniolo's" which are Hawaiian Cowboys. Parker Ranch has the Biggest Ranch in Hawaii & some very sweet Cowboys too!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the release of your book!
ReplyDeleteHow do you pick the names for your characters?
kissinoak at frontier dot com
Ooh, this one sounds great! Are you already working on the next one? How did you come up with the names Cade and Kale? Kale is pretty neat.
ReplyDeleteKaualoku ~ Thanks for the suggestion of Hawaii. I hadn't thought of there, but it would be interesting wouldn't it? I'd have to do some serious research and a trip would be in order, I'm sure. Since I've never been there, I would have to really check out the locals.
ReplyDelete~ Sandy
Estella ~ How do I pick the names of my characters? Well, sometimes I'll go through the name lists online, but it's with a general idea of the characters personality and things. Most of the time, a name will jump out at me from the list and I'll know that's what my character is trying to say is his or her name. Sometimes, I have a name in my mind before I even start the story. Those are great, because that means the character is already forming and taking shape.
ReplyDelete~ Sandy
Marie ~ Yes, the second one in the series in currently in progress. It's titled Before The Night Is Over and is due for release late March.
ReplyDeleteThe names Cade and Kale fit the characters from the beginning. Actually, Cade is my grandson's name so it slid right in there, but Kale popped into my head as I was writing the beginnings of the story. When Cade called his friend on the phone to tell him who he'd pulled from the ditch, I could picture Kale so clearly in my mind, that it was impossible to name him anything else.
I like simple names for my characters too. Something difficult to pronounce and it has to fit with the last name being used as well. The characters in Love Me Once, Love Me Twice are Natalie Bennington, Cade Weston and Kale Dunn. Simply loveable.
~ Sandy
Congratulations!! I love cowboy stories. They have all the elements I look for in a story.

Thank you so much for the nice comments, Mary. I do love cowboys myself, thus writing many romances around them. There's just something about a cowboy.

Thanks Tracey and SiNn. I love to hear reader feedback on the books and I hope everyone likes Love Me Once, Love Me Twice as much as the Wilder Series.
ReplyDelete~ Sandy
Hi Sandy!! I Love all of your westerns and this ones no exception!! I think you write very well, Usually not every book of a writers is a hit, so far I've liked every one of your books. So did you go to college or anything, where did you learned how to write? I know you were a nurse so I'm guessing you didn't, which is even more amazing becasue it's pure talent!! Congrats on the latest book!! Hugs, Christine
ReplyDeleteHi Christine,
ReplyDeleteI didn't go to college for writing. As far as where I learned to write? I started writing several years ago, but I never finished a piece completely. I was between jobs back in 2007 and needed something to do. I sat down at the computer and wrote Texas Lady. The story came alive on paper and several friends said I should get it published. I wrote two more and then sent one off to Siren. Cowboy Love was accepted and away we went. I have learned over time what makes a book stronger and how to bring the story to life with the words written. It's been a fabulous experience and I thank the editors I've worked with for helping me learn the craft on the way. You have to be open to someone telling you the story isn't that great and you need to fix this or that.
I've made some fantastic friends along and way and I thank my beta readers, Hales, Ariana, Drea and Shaylynn, for giving me the low down and not sparing my feelings by saying, "Oh yeah. It's great." That's not what an author needs to hear. They need someone to say, "This doesn't work for me."
Now that I've written a book. Off I go to write more.
Thanks again for your lovely comments.
~ Sandy
Hi Sandy,
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the new release, it sounds wonderful. Can't wait to read this one.
Do you use real people for any of the characters in your books? Or do any of the characters in your books resemble people in your life?
miztik_rose@yahoo.com
Hi, My daughters a big fan! I'd love to win this book for her. Your one of her favorite new authors she's found. Thanks for the contest!
ReplyDeleteshundelt@yahoo.com
I'm a new fan. I recently read the first book in the Wilder series and plan on reading the rest. I just loved it.
ReplyDeleteThis book sounds very good too. Hope I get a chance to read it soon.
christina101092@yahoo.com
Mary ~ My characters resemble people I know sometimes. Not always though. My hero always resembles my husband in some facet of his personality. I do have a tendency to put people who have really pisses me off, in a book. LOL They are usually the women who "don't" get the guy.
ReplyDelete~ Sandy
Hi Shirley ~ Thank you so much for the comments and tell your daughter hello for me. I love to hear from readers and I appreciate the feedback.
ReplyDelete~ Sandy
Hi Christina ~ I'm thrilled you enjoyed Chase and Abby's story and I hope you'll enjoy the rest of the Wilder Series just as much. I'll tell you a secret, I'm seriously considering continuing that series. One of the other characters has been whispering in my ear lately.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by.
