XOXO Publishing Presents HALLOWEEN ANTHOLOGY Volume 1
Charisma Knight's MY DARK LORD AND MASTEREver wonder what dreams and fantasies are made of? Some believe one mirrors the other. Perhaps a fantasy is based upon a dream you had one restless night. Maybe a dream, once a fantasy has presented itself to you in the form of a half man, half beast, conjured by the darkest depths of your imagination.
Once manifestation has occurred, how will you react when your dark Lord and Master projects you into his domain, placing his mark upon you for all eternity? When it is all said and done, would you regret the strong power of imagination?
Sandy Sullivan's CAT ON THE PROWL
Suzanne knows she's being hunted as she stumbles through thick foliage deep in the forest. A faint light in the distance draws her toward a safe haven, if she can make it in time...
The growl of a mountain lion in the distance sends shivers down her arms. She prays for a miracle for protection against the one stalking her. Only precious time will tell if she'll be a victim to depraved means or saved by fate.
Stories in this compilation of XoXo Publishing authors include: Sandy Sullivan - Cat On The Prowl, William Edmund III - Dare I Speculate, Layla Hunter - Dark Desire, Saydi Raen - Kalib's Guardian, Brianna Martini - Halloween Hell, Timothy Spearman - Mark of the Beast, Charisma Knight - My Dark Lord and Master, Sherri Good - The Power Of Magic, Raven Lynx - Poems of Halloween, and Marianne Stephens - Halloween Wish.

Excellent book cover whats the link to the ebookstore? Charisma is your story SM/bondage?
ReplyDeleteGood morning folks. I'm Sandy Sullivan and I have a piece in the anthology as well. Mine is a shifter piece called Cat On The Prowl.
ReplyDeleteKimmyl - my story idea came from the vision I had of a woman walking fast through the forest and looking over her shoulder repeatedly. I had some reader friends suggest a shifter who is also a cowboy and they get Cat On The Prowl.

^_^ Hello everyone! My name is Saydi Raen and I also have a piece in the Halloween Anthology. The story that was put into this book is called Kalib's Gaurdian, it's about a sorcerer and his attempt to gain a familiar. It has a freaking ice golem and everything! ^_^ This piece surprised me because it was the first new piece of work that my other stories have made room for me to type, and I love it! The anthology itself is fantastic, I read it the other day and the only story I skipped was mine, but that's because I know it front and backwards so all I could feel was slightly full of myself, but definitely take a look it's a great book.

Andrew ~ my story is about an ancient Serbian wolf shifter who manifests into a true flesh and blood man, by the powerful mind of my heroine. Little does she knows how much of a role she plays in his life. There is a little twist at the end I hope readers will enjoy.
ReplyDeleteKimmyL ~ This story was once a free read I wrote from a short dream I had a while back. It seems like everytime I write free reads, the evolve into published stories. LOL
Oh, and I will be giving away Mary Kay products as a prize too. MK has products for men as well Andrew. ; )
I hope everyone will enjoy!

I'd like to know what you see as the pros and cons of the electronic media when it comes to publishing books.
ReplyDeletelenikaye@yahoo.com
Hi Leni,
ReplyDeleteFor me the pro's are:
faster turn around from author to publication
ease of reading
epublishers are more open to new authors and new ideas
saving trees
cost for the consumer
variety of books out
Cons:
not holding that paper in your hands
piracy of electronic media
cost of an ereader although this is getting better
Those are just some in my opinion.
~ Sandy
Congrats ladies love the cover!!!cant wait to read it

Hi Leni ~ Like Sandy said.
ReplyDeletePros
Ebooks cut down on the amount of trees destroyed. Submission of manuscripts, much easier, than mailing paper manuscript to publisher, turnaround time is awesome.
Ebook Piracy. With all this technology we have, I'm sure we'll have a program that publishers can insert into the Pdf file to cut down on piracy. There's got to be some type of software that will do this. Say, once the buyer downloads the book, it can't be downloaded again, if so, it just disappears. Sort of like the bigstring email that came out a few years ago. After a certain amount of time, an email you send to someone just disappears.

Cons:
As soon as our books are out, pirates have them. You have to be careful where you send an ebook to for reviews as well. I really would love to see if it is possible to cut this part out.
Thanks Sandy!
I love the idea of a Halloween anthology. hope to see more of them.

I'm still new to the whole thing so I am glad that Sandy answered because I am still learning all the perks to this. ^_^ Hope you all get a chance to read it over, it was a great read like I said before, very cool.

I brought a copy of XoXo Publishing Halloween Anthology Vol. 1 this morning. It's one of the best Halloween collection of stories that I have read so far. Carl
ReplyDeletecarldegasperis@ymail.com
I'm Marianne Stephens and have a short story in the anthology. I tried to think of something to do with spirits. The idea of a woman making a wish on Halloween and thinking about her parents' spirits in the house popped into my head. I went with the thought of the heroine wishing for a man...and had my story!
ReplyDeleteLove my ebook reader and will buy very few print books from now on. Ebook pirates can do damage, and must be stopped.
Happy to be part of XOXO's Halloween Anthology!
